    The Romulan Republic has been working on a special new destroyer class Warbird, designed for high-level combat situations. Due to your loyalty as a 1000-day Veteran, the Republic has granted you command of this unique new Warbird ? the Prototype Heavy Destroyer: Daeinos Class.

    Apparently the Deinos was developed by the Republic, not carried over from the old Star Empire. That being the case, there would be no "old Empire" ships floating around.

    It also makes me sad that the Commander's Gig (which is from the 2350's, and therefore part of the Star Empire) can't use IRW either.



    That being said, I personally support the use of IRW on all Romulan ships.

    Whole point of IRW is that you can RP an old school or Tal Shiar Romulan, not allowing this for the Vet ship kind of defeats the purpose. I don't use no pansy R.R.W., I'm a pilot of an Imperial Romulan Warbird!
