Dontara: Well That Was Interesting!

So I set up a private STF with some folks for PublicEliteSTF, going for Khitomer Vortex, we set off the private queue with a full team of five, get in there and there's only four of us, I pm'd the missing guy to tell him what the private queue is called, no response, so we carried on as four, missed the optional, got to Donatra, kept wooping her and wooping her, got to her to 10%-ish and her health went right back up to full and she warps out, after we are all saying 'did that just happen?!' one of us gave up and warped out. Then about a minute after that she reappears full health and all and the three of us that are left take her on and end up killing her faster than it took us with four... I noticed during all this she dropped some regular cloaking tractor mines at one point and launched a high yield plasma torp' like a Borg cube...

I think there is a time limit after which enemy warp out and reset.
Witnessed this once on the old CE mission.
How you managed to beat it in the second round, I have no idea.
Maybe the game has a pity debuff on her for anyone who can't beat her regularly. ;)

    Dontara, huh?

Yeah as in Donatra spelt wrong because I was more focused on explaining the experience.
that or because it was Donatra but all messed up...
    Take your pick.

Yeah I was just told by a fleetmate about it being a reset, didn't know it'd happen even if she was attacked.
Haha I like the idea of a pity debuff, I don't know why it was easier with three than four, was a crazy experience...

In hindsight it'd have been better to just leave and make a new private when there was only four of use to begin with!

    I wish I could've seen that. :D

I was once doing Doomsday Device and in the final battle, the thing just took off at full impulse. I chased it in the little B'Rel, and when we were far, far away from the planet, it disappeared. I flew back to the battle, where it had shown up again, at full health. There were also some Galaxy-Xs launching peregrine fighters, I figured that they were incorrectly skinned HECs. I was doing a bit poorly on my part, so several times I saw all the Fed and KDF ships destroy each other and get fresh reinforcements. There were also ships using tachyon detection grid, and the occasional Wells class...

This game has some funny bugs.
I ask nothing but that you remember me.

There's already a nifty thread where you could drop this thrilling tale about Donatra's dyslexic twin. :)
