THis is going to sound dumb, but how do you use a OverCharged Warp Core?
You install it, just like any other.
Its basic boosts are to aux (both the base power level increase as well as the increase in max power level), so you want an overcharged warp core, in general, if you're using aux a lot (e.g. a science officer or someone who's using Aux2SIF3 a lot).
Overcharged cores give a boost to aux, which is best for science vessels, but not solely. Aux2batt cruiser builds are common for engineers and would also be able to get some mileage from it, and other power bonuses on it might still make it better than what you had before.
If you are in a science ship (you don't have to be science), if you use transfer shield strength, or if some of your using certain universal consoles. I dont always worry about aux, but almost all of my captains use tss, it can be used like extend shields but also works on self.
New home of the Romulan Republic.
I have an idea for what Season 11 should be; Season 11: The Big Bug Fix.
I have not been able to read my bug tickets in over a year, not even the tickets about not being able to see my tickets.
I find the drama of your signature proof of your immaturity, this means you, DR whiners.
