This MU Vor'cha is now fitted with 2x MK XII nanite disruptor DBB, 1 MK XII nanite DHC, omega torp, cutting beam and ND-turrets and despite the lack of tac boffs it's actually more fun this way.
It's purely PvE though, I occsionally try to stay alive in Ker'rat but most of the time I'm not even scratching other players' shields. The Vor'Cha survives significantly longer than the Qin but I'm not dedicated enough to compete in PvP.
Yeah your burst damage isn't optimized so it would be difficult to bust through someone's shields. But if you have fun playing it in PvE its all good.
KDF cruisers are great ships. Someone earlier compared them to a fleet hafeh I can't say I see the resemblance at all. Closest things Romulans have is maybe the fleet mogai that stacks armor instead of RCS and even that is a stretch. Even the scimitar using the LCDR for a Eng boff won't get the durability of the battlecruisers. The Romulan cruisers (D and Hapax) are too immobile once they decloak to be considered battlecruisers IMO. Bear in mind you cant almost kill someone, cloak, reposition, and strike again to make the kill a 2nd time. PvP doesn't work like that. You have to kill in the first pass or very quickly after it. Once you let up the tgt is healed/runs off/his CDs are up and can respond/ etc.
Bought a Vor'Cha for my KDF-aligned Rom Engi. Wanted either the Refit or MU version, but these are verboten by Cryptic. So I decided to make do. Not really unhappy about it, either. Outfitted it with Exchange-bought or mission award stuff. Since this Vor'cha is on Lend-Lease to the Republic, I went with plasma weapons. The non-KHG, non-Rep gear has performed better than I expected. Although the price for some of it on the Exchange was far higher than I remember.
All my other KDF toons have Vor'chas, so I got a rude shock when I couldn't get this one to turn as well as they did. Odd since the loadout is exactly the same. Did some experimenting and finally got it turning and moving something close to the others.
Bought the D'Deridex. Big freakin' '65 Cadillac El Dorado of a ship. Nearly as maneuverable as well. Almost as well armed and armored, too. So far seems to be best used as an ambush predator using tactics similar to those of a WWII submarine. "Disappointed" sums up how I feel about all of the Warbirds I have acquired so far. Maybe the Refit D'Deridex will be a little better. So for now, my Rihannsu VA rides a 'foreign' job to keep his effectiveness up. But I've played STO long enough to be very aware the cause of all this disappointment may be the Captain, not the hardware.

Very possibly a stupid question, but how many KDF players use cruisers? I played Fed mainly and want to change things up big time. I did tac and sci as Fed already, so I'm going for a change of scenery as well as game play. But, I rarely see KDF players, and of those players I see, I don't see a whole lot of cruisers. Can I assume it's because tac vessels are "better" and the game is currently STO: Escorts? Or am I just not seeing them?
I just got the Awsome Bortasqu Tactical Cruiser ship, and believe me, it is the GREATEST , most TOUGHEST KDF ship OF ALL TIME!

Carriers and Battlecruisers are really the true selling points to the KDF now. BOPs also, but one will eventually realize how opposing ships have overpowered the once-mainstay ship of the KDF.
If you love Cruiser play and are not playing the KDF, you are doing it wrong.
