Been playing this game for about a year and half now. I am a lifelong Star Trek fan. So I was already predisposed to like STO. It can be very enjoyable and highly entertaining. It can also be very aggravating and chock full of errors and inconsistencies which drive me mad. Most days, it manages to pull off both at the same time. Which ain't as easy as the Dev team makes it look.

On balance, as long as I don't take either this game or myself too seriously, it has been one excellent ride which is fun. And just when I am feeling down or a little put upon, something occurs ingame which makes me smile or laugh. And I remember why I play this game in the first place. Which is the chance to be a peer of Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway, Archer, et al. Something the six year old boy in me has wanted since the first time he sat down in front of a black and white TV set all those looong years ago to watch Kirk, Spock and McCoy boldly go.

I've managed to get lucky enough to capture some screens which are funny. At least to me, anyway. Thought I'd share them. Because when I saw them, I laughed. And Lord knows, this place needs some laughs. Hope Y'all like these as well.

This is my philosophy as well. I find it helps me enjoy the game much more than a lot of other people.
