Due to a recent glitch that took a while to patch up, that did not allow the Risa "Flying High" race course markers to properly appear, many players was out of luck for about two weeks worth of gameplay.
Meaning they could not complete the race courses for about 2 weeks, thus no pearls
I feel Cryptic should extend the Aug 2nd deadline for the Risian Corvette by two weeks to accommodate those unfortunate players that were denied 2 weeks worth of daily racing due to the glitch.
What say you all?

Glitch? I've been playing 'Flying High' since the start of the event without any issues... So there doesn't appear to be a need to extend it.
Not being affected =/= bug doesn't exist.
Patch Notes that claim that bug was fixed.

did you even click on my link?
Everyone should be gifted the ship regardless of their ability to complete the 'quest' needed for the award, it's the only way to be fair as some haven't been able to do the quest since the day the event launched.
Awoken Dead
Now shaddup about the queues, it's a BUG
So the glitch did exist -> they call it an edge case
Those small number of players as the patch note state, should be given some kind of accommodation for it. As I stated at the beginning, it was up to two weeks that these small amounts of players were effected.
In the spirit of fair gameplay, Cryptic should extend the deadline by two weeks, afterall the vessel is free, its not like they are going to lose money or something.

If there really were some people who waited 2 weeks for cryptic to fix it and didn't take any actions to get it back to work themself then I would say: It's their problem not cryptics and the deadline shouldn't be extended.
...all you had to do was turn off your floater and then turn it on back again.
What part of FREE you don't understand? This is not an entitlement issue.
icsairguns -> "I did mine in the prescribed time, so those of you who had a glitch up to two weeks, well tough luck and stop being cry babies !"
Grow up will you. It's not like you were entitled to it from the beginning because you never glitched out. Count your blessing that you didn't.
I am pretty sure if you lucked out like those unfortunate few, you'll be the very first one posting in this thread about how they should extend it as a courtesy to the player base.
How can they had fixed it if it was from Cryptic end, many players did numerous things to try to GLITCH OUT, but failed. So for some it was not possible to undo until a proper patch was in place. It was only when it was brought to the attention of the Devs via screenshots over at the BUG segment of the forums, when it was finally acknowledged and address.
This one was not undone by mere taking off your floater and slapping it back in place, or even changing instances.
no because the deadline is still far enough away they could make it if they hustled. it ends aug 2nd that's 14 days away. on top of week its already been fixed if they had been doing it they would and could still complete it. 24 hours in a day 20 hour cool down 5 min to complete so every 20.05 hours they can do it. for the 40 pearls 672 pearls and 528 pearls for the time that has past since it was fixed. puts them well over the mark for the free ship. if they ran the mission every 20 hours. now if they don't have the time or the will to do it im sorry. the 1st few years this game was running I was able to play but I wanted too. does that mean I should get all the stuff that is now gone?
there fault my fault don't matter we are all in the same boat on this . but to extend it is wrong.

which did not work for those small amount of players, so it was stuck-ville for about two weeks.
Extending the deadline doesn't mean people will get a free ride. They still have to do the mission daily to acquire the 1,000 pearls, no discounts are requested. An extension would be a consideration to those affected by the mission bug. It shouldn't be a problem to extend the deadline until the same date the event ends, August 15.
Honestly, the fact that you're complaining over this request when (1) you already have yours and (2) no one will get it easier than you did even with an extension, just makes your complaint look like trolling.
Thought the Deadline for the Risian Corvette offer was August 2nd and not the 15th? - according to the blog.
and you would be wrong AGAIN
You know i know they know they should
But you know and i know and everyone else knows...cryptic wont
My problem was I had to do 3 out of 4 courses, but I only had 2 of them appear.
Never found a third that day and I looked on the map and looked by flying around.
Dropped the Mission as I said and the next day I had again 4 courses to chose from.

If you carefully read the TOS statement, you will find a little clause stating that Cryptic is not responsible for games bugs...
There was a case years ago where 'Train Up' didn't work for BO skill training, and I wasted several expensive BOs purchased off of the Exchange because of this... I asked for compensation for the lose due to the 'bug' and didn't get it...
If they changed their 'policy' just for this event, it would set a bad precedent, and open up a big can of worms over bug compensation...
I take it you don't have a job or a family to raise? No offense - but doing it by the exact numbers and calculations as you put it is near impossible for the normal citizen that works 40hrs a week and have a family.
Its a great thing if you are a kid at home and on summer vacation though.
Its wrong because?
Seriously; It is pointless to say "its wrong to extend," and the only reason people have to say no, is because they did it in the prescribed time and never once glitched out, so now they feel they are entitled to something that was basically given for free to begin with.
So you believe that doing something to improve customer satisfaction and correct a game error (not customer error) sets a bad precedent for the company? I hope a marketing career is not in your future plans...
The issue was a glitch/bug/what not that was out of the players control.... for that reason alone, I will agree with the OP that the event should be extended, by 7 days (not 2 weeks, although I see the logic)... 7 days adds sufficient time to make up the shortfall, assuming you and the others effected have made an effort to continue to do the mission daily once it was fixed.

and you really should stop assuming things like my age and status because you are really bad it .
just so happens my situation allows me certain perks. is that ok with you or is it again unfair? should I be limited in the amount of time I can devote to play time just because you cant?
