very few players have beaten this and you sound like one of the ones that have not.

Well almost every hour someone wins the no win scenario while I"m playing. It always flashes across my screen.
One day Cryptic will be free from their Perfect World overlord. Until that day comes, they will continue to pamper the whales of this game, and ignore everyone that isn't a whale.

With about 500k players that play regularly and 2 million+ registered players 5 winners about every couple hours is still very few.

You get popups for beating waves 8 and 9 as well. It's nowhere near one an hour - it's more like one every 4 hours in-game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's being beaten a lot more than that - but you only get a pop-up the first time you beat it on that character

Any foundation for those numbers? Because if 500k play regularly, they must be logging in to some other server...

It's enough that it's no longer particularly noteworthy.

What is the name of the NWS channel ?? Is the same i use, Kirk's protege ??
Im not in the hall of fame, beat it on 3 charaters but lost my password on stowiki and im lazy...

But im a member of kirk's protege (s), the elite channel of dps-11000

Please don't call the dps11k channel the "elite channel" - that's condescending to everyone including yourself. Hulk would hulk-smash you if he read that :D You should know by now that NWS is the only real aspect of this game that doesn't boil down to cramming as much deeps into a ship as you can.

Silver's NWS Channel is The Hive NWS. It's also a very good NWS channel, I use both regularly.

It's the only piece of content left in this game that hasn't been beaten to death yet. Unlike STFs (where you enter every single one, knowing that even if everything goes wrong you'll still beat it, and get the optional, with a long time to spare). Lets face it, nothing can ever go wrong in STFs anyway.

That's a complete contrast to NWS, where it can (and more often than not does) go wrong. Even the best NWS players in the game, they're going to fail it sometimes. It's the only bit of PvE content which requires teamwork and coordination - who cares how "noteworthy" or otherwise it is tbh.

Well, judging by your signature, you certainly seem to think it's significant part of your STO identity.

At this current time, it is. I've been running it for a couple of months now, because I'd done pretty much everything there was to do in this game. I got sick of STFs, and chasing optionals, and min-maxing builds to run the same thing over and over again. NWS was fun because it was hard, and required teamwork and practise - but even now it's starting to get old.

Once I beat the Breen and Gorn, and have achieved all my goals and done every bit of content to death, I'm not sure what's left.

I've heard of the kirk protege channel but that's all I know and not been contacted directly about it either. I'm sure there are plenty of NWS channels but the one I use, as previously mentioned, is the_tholos' the_hive_nws channel. Realelitenws was the original channel and hive was meant for training but the 2 channels ended up serving the same people and purpose so we've been trialling just using the one channel.

In the near future I'm looking at reopening real for experienced, regular players again and working with tholos to make hive more for training but am in no rush. I've got to add people to the hall of fame too but had my hands full of late.

it is in the PvE que list. if you filter it by rewards, it will be in the "fleet Mark's" section.
