Spiral Wave Escort: advice needed

Hi folks,
I had the good fortune to get my hands on a Galor and get access to the Spiral Wave Disruptors. Generally I've been pretty happy with the damage output but I know I can do much better. I thought I'd lay out the current build and get some feedback.
What advice can people offer me other than upgrading to Mk XII Purples for equipment?
I'm currently working on Tier 5 Omega for the adapted space set Mk XII.
I'm also working on the fleet Dilithium mine for Mk XII purple warp cores but as the fleet only has about 6 regular players it's a slow grind.
This is purely for PvE by the way- as you all could probably tell.
Anyway, here's the layout:
Tactical Escort Retrofit
Fore: Spiral Wave Disruptors x3, Omega Torpedo Mk XII
Deflector: Assimilated Deflector Mk X
Impulse: Assimilated Impulse Mk X
Warp: Hyper Injection XI (blue), SEP (engine) (W->S) (Trans)
Shield: MACO resilient Mk X
Aft: Spiral Wave Disruptor, Cutting Beam, Plasma Torpedo Mk XI [ACC x2]
Devices: Subspace field modulator, 20x Shield Batteries
Engineering: Assimilated module, Plasma distribution manifold Mk XI (blue), Field Emitter Mk XI (purple)
Science: 2x Field Generators Mk XI (blue)
Tactical: 2x Disruptor Induction Coils Mk XI (blue) 1x Disruptor Induction Coil Mk XI (green), Ambiplasma envelope Mk XI (blue)
Stations:
Cmdr Tac: Torpedo high yield I, Attack pattern Beta I, Torpedo spread III, Attack pattern Omega II
Lt Cmdr Tac: Beam overload I, Tac team II, Attack pattern Delta II
Ensign Tac: Tac team I
Lt Eng: Eng Team I, Emergency power to Shields II
Lt Sci: Polarize hull I, Sci team II
I generally stay mobile in fights to be hard to hit: I use maneuver buffs to do the 'donut of death', using the spirals' arcs of fire to keep DPS up while dumping plasma torps. Especially in STFs, I use polarize hull to escape the inevitable tractor beams.
I really want to keep the SWD's on this boat because the dual procs are pretty cool, but at the same time, I can see that my BOff layout needs work.
I'm going to upgrade all options to Mk XII purples as the opportunity arises, which is probably going to be quite a while.
So please, if you have any advice, feel free to chime in.
