DOFF Active duty problem

On at least two of my characters I'm having this problem. I slotted white or green quality doffs for active space duty(since at the time they were all I had), but now for both I got a few blue and purple doffs I want to slot in. But I can't seem to remove the current ones from active duty. I highlight the ones i want removed, click remove and ... nothing, the doff stays where it is, no slot opens etc. I have had them in for a while since I didn't really care too much about the active duty doffs, but now I want to change them out and can't. Any suggestions or help would be great.

    Try the drag and drop method.?

    It sounds like your roster is full. Doffs on active duty don't count towards your roster, which means if you have 100/100 doffs you can't remove one from active duty as that would leave you at 101/100. If you have filled your active duty slots, you won't be able to activate a doff to move them from your roster to our active duty slots, and you'll need to jettison someone first.
