Missing Mission

kerrdogjkerrdogj Member Posts: 25 Arc User
So, I decided to save up my dilithium and purchase a Foundry account. Now, after a long period of painstaking work, I have successfully published my first mission...and cannot find it anywhere. As I understand it, once published, I should be able to search and play my own missions in STO, right? However, I cannot even find it with an author search. I have the e-mail confirmation that it has been published, but it's just not there. Has anyone else had this issue? How do I resolve it?

As a side note, it is appearing in the Foundry under my "Archived" tab now too. Does that affect anything?

Thanks!

Did you select "Become a Reviewer"?

If a mission has 5 or less reviews it isn't on the master list. Only players who have "Become a Reviewer" enabled can see them.

Yes, it's probably in the review stage. Your work is not done. Now you have to get 5 people to play it for it to be "visible" for ordinary players. Even then, they probably won't ever see your mission unless they custom search for it. And then, you need to beg around 20 more folks to play it for it to count for rewards.

Even then, players probably won't be able to find it, unless it makes a strong showing in the "new" listings, which is difficult to do.

    Welcome to the Foundry.

Your best hope would be to seek help and get plays from other foundry authors. Spam a sig banner. Make a trailer. Get active at Starbase UGC. Get the podcasts to review it. All of that might get you some plays, if you're lucky and your mission is awesome-sauce.

The second half of the work begins by hitting that publish button.

Unless, of course, your mission is some kind of exploit that generates lootz.
