I would love to say I'm all for the idea of Gornar, but I feel the Letheans need more attention first, those poor guys get jack in Lethean specific content.
LOL Letheans were the Gorn's allies in the War against KDF! IRONY!

You understood the exact opposite of what I said. I said, in ST, worlds are usually all the same (IE all ice, swamp, desert...). While it's highly improbable IRL, at least for temperate world.
Another social zone would be useless without any content. Risa (except for the event), andoria and vulcan are deserted, a waste of ressources. It's far to soon for a Gorn storyline. We are still dealing with Romulan, and will talk about Sela's return next. May I remind you Romulan is a major faction, and yet we waited 3 years to have them playable ? The Gorn is a minor faction, it's not even seen in TNG, DS9 and only seen once in Enterprise (mirror episode). I understand you are quite a gorn fan, but you can't expect everyone to be as fan as you are.
Even if they added the Gorn content, showing some kind of rebellion, they would have to deal with the hundreds, maybe thousands players that have a Gorn in the KDF. They can't make a Gorn faction, not enough people to play with them, not enough content, ships, and too much work. So you'd have to stay KDF anyway. They can't make you join the fed, or you'll join with unique ships from the KDF, honor guard equipement, etc... So, you'd have a rebellion, and you would stay KDF anyway ? I don't think you'd like it more.
I wouldn't mind a Gorn content, just like any other kind of content, as long as it's good. However, I want to (finally) deal with the Iconian threat. Then, I don't mind the Gorn.
You saying it is too soon is a lie because they talked about this a way big while back... making Gorn content... and some info shows that NEW ROMULUS was suppose to be on the Gorn, but that changed....

Sorry brah, Orion is a planet, and the homeworld of the Orion Species, not Rigel VII
Rigel VII was the inhabited seventh planet of the Rigel system. This system was located in the Kandari sector, a region of space in the Alpha Quadrant. The planet had one moon and was the homeworld of the Kalar, a pre-warp capable humanoid species. (TOS: "The Cage"; Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, production art; TNG: "Conspiracy" display graphic)
The homeworld of the warp capable Orions, Orion was an inhabited planet in the Orion system located in the Orion sector of the Alpha Quadrant. (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, production art; TNG: "Conspiracy", display graphic)
In 2269, through the assistance of the Guardian of Forever, Starfleet officers Captain James Kirk, Commander Spock and historian Lieutenant Erickson traveled to the dawn of Orion's civilization to view the planet's history unfold firsthand. (TAS: "Yesteryear")
Devna, an Orion trapped in Elysia, told Kirk that she wished to return through the time barrier and see Orion again. Kirk offered to take her back with him, but she declined, stating that she had accepted where she now was in life. (TAS: "The Time Trap")
According to Star Trek: Star Charts (pgs. 36, 45, 60), the planet Orion was located in the Pi 3 Orionis system. This planet was visited by Zefram Cochrane on his final voyage in 2120. Orion was a non-aligned world before and after 2161, the founding date of the Federation. In 2378, Orion was a destination on the major space lanes
And here is the source for the confusion.
According to The Worlds of the Federation (page 36), the Rigel system and the Orion system are one and the same. The planet Orion is the eight planet in the system.
Not "brah," per favore.
There are several contradictory accounts of Orion history, with the most complete versions presented in the FASA RPG and in the Last Unicorn/Decipher RPGs, with other components appearing in various novel sources.
The Orion homeworld is variously stated to be either Rigel VIII (Botchok), Rigel VII (Kolar), a world in the Pi-3 Orionis system, or more generally, the planet "Orion".
And what climate are all of those? Temperate. As misterde3 pointed out, we only have the Arctic Circle as an exemption from that and it took us until late Enterprise to get it (plus - even Mars has a forzen pole and that is mostly the same due to a lack of ecosystem). You could easily conclude that Earth is all temperate, mostly built up, with a limited range of foliage, minimal animal life, no deserts or plains or mountains - just at least one frozen pole.
While we are complaining, Gorn BOFF's should be able to actually come in purple quality. Because they have three preset traits, they can only get one superior and are never actually of Very Rare quality. If you buy a purple one off the AH, it reverts to blue when you have him join up.

Canon does not address the question, unfortunately.
Well its not as important now that the Orions moved to Ter'jas Mor, they have a new homeworld, beautiful and prestine with the technology to make sure its never dispoiled.
.in the novels Ter'jas Mor is a klingon colony, but in STO there is no evidenced the Klingons built a colony there instead transfering to the Orions.
I think we'll be seeing homeworlds that have actually been shown on screen (Betazed, Ferenginar, Trill) before we get Gornar.
By the way, Blagorm, where did you read or hear that Gornar is a swamp? I was under the distinct impression it was mostly desert with a few wetland areas.
Actually; according to Dan, they were working on a SEASON that would focus on a Revolt on the Gorn Homeworld.
And also working on a SEASON called Founders of the Federation which would include a lot of the home worlds listed here. So don't give up hope.
The Gorn are getting tired of this blood-red "honor". THEY NEED THIER OWN HOMEWORLD! Its been WAY too long for you promising the Gorn some respect! They NEED their homeworld! (FYI, Gorn Homeworld is Gornar, AND it is swampy, like jungle, NOT LIKE PARADISE though, they call it in thier language. S'sgaron. The Planet System is: Tau Lacertae IX)
Also, its the same with the missions... WHERE ARE THE GORN EPISODES? I want to rebel against the empire! (Or in KDF Sense, I guess I have to Kill Gorn -_-)
Finally.... with the Gorn, THYE SHOULD BE BIGGER! I want to be a bulky mess ofa Gorn like a Holdch on Qo'nos.... not some scrawny mishap of one! Same with those Ra'wqu's.... I would like to be a tall version of myself as well...
Also, I HATE SPIKES! Get some new Costumes for gorn PLEASE! I would deffinetly like thoses chained pants that some Holdch have.
In Genreal, its GORNAR, EPISODE, AND CUSTOM APPERANCE!!!!
Thank you for your time!
*Rebel Gorn, S'kaa*
I couldn't agree more! Down with the empire, long live the Hegemony!
More Gorn content would be awesome...especially since, unlike the Klingons, they weren't the 'alien of the week' just about every other week. I'm sick of hearing about Klingons and their propensity for calling whatever they do 'honorable'. Besides, most of the Federation's member races have their planets in-game; why not the KDF races?
I'm still waiting on the ability to use the G.H.S. prefix, rather than the I.K.S. prefix, on my Fleet Varanus...and for my all-Gorn bridge crew to stop saying 'qapla' to me all the time.
Also, some cool titles could include 'King's Fleet Guard', 'Guardian Errant', and 'Defender of the Egg'.
I'd love to see more "skin color" options and patterns be made available as well as other features on their heads for differing subspecies. Perhaps a double-row of the spines or spines spaced further apart and webbed. Other things could be "beards" much like the kind of thing found on Iguanas and Bearded Lizards, include even catfish/arijuana like barbs. Tattoos would also be a nice touch too. Would also appreciate more colors for those lens thingies they can have, as well more pattern variants.
I recall one dev (I can't recall which one) mentioning a season focused on the Gorn, Saurians and the Voth. Curious to see how that will go and if Saurians get more options to look more reptillian as they should be. They look more like a Grey than reptiles to me at least.
On the Rigel system thing, yeah, a very crowded system. Sure we have only one of the 3 warp-capable species from the planets there, but hopefully those from Rigel II will become available at some time too, we know even less aboot them then those from Rigel V and I was under impression Rigellians II were in the Federation longer.

Yes, and I dont want to ATTACK the Gorn.. that is what I hate.. cause if they are doing Gonr, we will be forced to STILL hurt our bretheren!

When Gornar does show up, it should be based on ancient south American cities, which I once mentioned on a now un-available thread back before the forums got re-designed.

These Gorn are terrorists against King Slathis and Gornar. It is your duty as a subject of King Slathis eliminate the Terrorist Gorn.
I guess you are "right"... but in all generalness.. King Slathis IS the terrorist... the Gorn Hegemony suffered a coup d'eat... it used to be diplomatic... King Slathis was part of the group that took over.... therefore... in a way, I am just a Gorn going by the old ways, and rebeling against King Slathis, because of his blood thirst. (Gorn supossivly were a bit more peaceful before, until the coup d'eat, the Black Crest Faction took over the Gorn Hegmeony etc etc)
HOWEVER, your statement hardly goes with the Gorn... they WANT TO Rebel against the Empire... Having Terrorist isn't what Im looking for, im looking to go against the Empire.

Unless we are able to choose our side in the conflict, I'm torn on this one...
On one hand, I can't wait for new Gorn ships/costumes/weapons/titles/stuff.
On the other hand, I don't want to kill a bunch of Gorn that I wish I could help, and I get the distinct impression that this will be the case.
