Nanite Disruptors or Romulan Plasma Weapons?

I'm flyin' a Ha'Feh warbird and trying to make a dps build. I find the romie plasma weapons a bit expensive, but a Tal Shiar box dropped me a MK XII Nanite Disruptor DC, so i got the idea to try theese ND weapons with consoles. I did not obtained yet the romie dhc-s from the tier 4 repu, and i would not do that, if the ND weapons'd "surving me well".

The set is
Omega Force deflector MK XI (XII'd be better?)
Omega Force shield MK XI
Romulan Prototype Impulse Engines MK XII

what do you think about it? Which1'd be a better fit and why?

    Personally, i find the nanite disruptors incredibly......meh. They just don't perform if you ask me, mainly cause the proc is barely noticeable.

    If it had kept the full disruptor proc and the shield pen minus one mod like most other 2 proc weapons are, it might have been useful.

    Your better off with either Fleet Plasma or Fleet Disruptors. With the new ACC2, DMG2 modifiers available, there is no competition with the fleet weapons. Better base DPS and DMG output as well as some good modifiers now.

    the usefulness of Nanite Disruptors is in combination with regular disruptors as their procs can stack. Apart from that, they're cheap disruptors that you can pick up easily, which is always nice.

    Rom Plasma are super expensive, but also very good. Some people prefer them to fleet weapons, me, I'm not so sure as of yet.

    Fleet is better. That proc is very small chance anyways it dont do much good when compared to fleet weapons that have an average of 25-35 base DPS over any other weapon you can get on exchange. Parser printouts will prove it

    I've been considering switching to plasma for my Scimitar to get a little more DPS thanks to the reputation 2-piece bonus.

    I was planning on buying all romulan plasma but my fleet as well said that even though the second proc is great, with the extra DPS from the fleet weapons you'll kill them before that proc does any difference.

    Yeah, personally I used Nanite Disruptors when I first hit 50 on my rom, and then went for fleet Antiprotons with Cutting Beam and Hyper Plasma torp. Honestly with all the bonuses to crit that Romulans get through traits and BOFFs, I'm surprised I don't see more AP warbirds, that crit severity is nice.

    ok the one thing I figured out just from juggling some numbers that the [Acc]x2 [Dmg]x2 Fleet weapons have the same accuracy and Crit Severity as the Romulan Plasma Weapons [Acc]x2 of the same type....

    no change in damage, accuracy or Crit Severity... and with the Romulan Plasma weapons I get the Plasma DOT proc and the Disruptor Proc.... choice is clear to me... but then stacking the threat scaling consoles to get more plasma damage and a few other things that can be done... I can actually boost my bonus damage by 30% which is "usually" 10% more than the inate resists you get from the Omega/MACO/Honor Guard sets....

    just comes down to what you want to use really...

    My Tvaro retrofit. I use x2 standar disruptor turrets and cloak mines to the rear. x3Nanite Dual Heavy Disruptors to the front with xii purple photons. I find that an excellent fast strike ship i can chew enemies quite readily with that loadout.
