The description for Orion Slavers states, "Capture Crew, Steals Energy Credits or Commodities". I bought the Orion Slavers from the Exchange after I bought an Orion Dacoit Flight-Deck Cruiser. They are equipped to my flight-deck cruiser and I use them all the time in space combat, most often having 2 wings of them out for a total of 6 hangar pets active. However, I have never noticed an increase in my Energy Credits nor extra commodities or prisoners.
I only play pve and usually have them in Escort mode so they get the two +5% attack damage from my Active Space duty Flight Deck Duty Officers.
Am I doing something wrong, or do they just not work as advertised?
It doesn't go off as often as the description implies. You might get one thing stolen every couple of minutes, a few hundred credits or a single commodity. Its not a huge amount and takes a while to add up to anything significant, but thats just how they are.

This right here is one of my biggest complaints about the current state of the game, being that there are way too many things that are not working as described if at all. Doffs, powers, consoles, Procs, it's really just ridiculous, and it would be nice if they actually took the time to fix it instead of just acting like everything was fine.

assuming its a bug because I've been told by Branflakes the team is investigating the issue...
I used to get 10-25 contraband in roughly 2-3 hours of playing my main KDF toon everyday.
My dilithium gain has taken a small hit to this problem and it will eventually add up.
I hear the Ultra Rare versions still work reliably, showing it's mainly the dilithium store version ones that are broken.
That post is two years old. In the future don't reply to threads more than 6 months old, just make a new one.
I cannot speak for the elite version, but both basic and advanced worked fine throughout most of 2014 and just last night too.
