Recording STO with an automated camera?

I wanted to record a video of my fleet, but without being able to see me and without all the jarring movements of my normal mouse camera. Something like what is used in this video would be ideal:

Is this a mod, or is there some option that I am not aware of? It seems to look a lot like a Minecraft mod that allows you to set where a camera goes and then tell it to take "X" amount of time between those points. Is there a mod or technique in STO that allows you to do something similar, or is the cameraman in this video just super human?

Google "FRAPS" or some other video capturing program.

p.s. and I do believe there is a recorder option buried somewhere in the "console" chat box type commands.

I think you misinterpreted my question. I know how to record videos, I just don't know how to get the dynamic smooth camera motion that that video has. Do you have any idea how that was achieved?
