Feature request: Fighter icons

Hia,

I've been flying an Atrox carrier for a few days now and I love it, but ...
I really need some nice icons in the UI for how many fighters I have out there.
Something like 1 icon per hangar item with a counter for how many fighters are in flight.

The only way I can currently see if I have 8 or 12 fighters flying around is to recall them and do a head-count.

Does anyone know of a better way or is a change in the UI the only way ?

    Something like this is like the #2 most requested feature for carriers. (#1 being improving pet AI so they don't act like idiots with respect to turning and hanging out near explosions)

    I believe the UI guys have said they're looking into what they can do.

    Dan responded to this last month and said that this feature was coming this month.
    Must be an oversight.
    Should I start posting again after all this time?
