Spiral Disruptors feasible

Is a beam boat full of these likely to do well in STFs for cruisers?
I don't duel anymore since the level 6 hit my level 8 for 15k in one shot instantly

Well they are possibly the best beam weapon in the game, if you can build a cruiser that can sustain the fire of eight beam arrays having spiral waves is a good choice if you can afford them.
My Romulan Liberated Borg character made it to Level 30 and beat the (old) Defense of New Romulus with the skill point bug. :D

and u can afford/craft the tac consoles for them being disruptor consoles are stupidly expensive, xii last i checked going for 60 mil? thats near lockbox ship prices. for bleeps sake.

for stfs they would be good, i go ap since i like the color and the sound better, and ap consoles are half that of disruptor.

my limited testing in elite pve patrols ap came out on top by enough of a margine, tac consoles not equal however, but even on elite patrols stuff just melted too fast for the procts to make that much of a dif on the spirals, but to my thinking stuff your shooting for awhile those procts look better over longer fights, so stfs would be the best place for them imo at lest.

I personally use them on my sci boat (Fleet Neb) which is setup for healing/debuff to give an extra chance to debuff targets in PvE. That along with some Romulan plasma consoles means that I have the possibility -- albeit a small one -- of several different procs occurring off of one beam.

I also run a wide angle quantum so I can do continuous broadsides.

Why would you want that? The actual gain compared to a purple mk xi is much smaller than you would think. It's nowhere near the 1.9% that is suggested, but rather a tiny fraction of it. Maybe you will get a total of 1.9% if you replace five purple mk xi with five purple mk xii.

That's why they are a complete waste of money.

Here's my build and I love it. It works wonders in PVP and PVE. I stopped flying Escourts after building this ship and I have them all even a JHAS.

    Tac Captian

    Fleet Excelsior

    8 sprial wave Disruptors
    XII Elite Fleet Covariant Shields
    XII Borg Eng
    XII Borg Deflector
XI VR Overcharged Warp core (wep power bonus)

ENG Consoles: Borg Console, Zero point console, Tychokenitic Converter, XII VR Neutronium
SCI consoles: Nukera Console, or (or Plasmonic Leech), XII VR Field gen
TAC Consoles: (4) XII VR Disruptor consoles

    Boff
TAC LT CMDR: TT1, BO2, FAW3 (Blue Romulan Crit bonus)
    CMDR ENG: EPTE, AUX2BATT,EPTS3,DEM3 (Human)
    LT ENG: ET,EPTS2 (Human)
    ENS ENG: EPTW (Human)
    SCI LT: HE, TSS2 (Human)

    Doffs: (all purple)
    Beam cooldown doff
    Marion Dumar (DEM Doff)
    (3) Techs (all ability cooldown)

You can change the Tac Boff to TT1, BO2, BO3 for Kerrat or STF's, or for Sstarbase 24 or PVP arena or the Romulan missions like the Vault or Azura Rescue: TT1, APB, FAW3 or TT1, FAW2, APO this gives you more offensive abilities vs groups of ships, the latter is for fighting one or 2 ships at a time. Your damage is more focused vs being more spread out.

Also if you want to anger the Klinks in PVP put the Nukera Web mines in the back. You can also add the cutting beam in the back for the Omega wep modifer proc that can help with the weapon power drain issues.

This is a pretty basic Aux2batt/Crit build. Some will say to add another Aux2batt instead of EPTS2 on the LT Eng but I do fine without it. You can also put Reverse Shield Pol instead of EPTS3.

This build can tank, DPS, Team heal (a little) and you can play around with it a little like adding Tractor beam 2 to it and take of TSS2 to grab BOP's and smack them with back to back BO's or add the Borg shields to get the Borg Tractor beam/Cutting beam combo. Also a Fleet or wide angle quant torp can be a nice addition but that build works better on the Fleet Assualt Cruiser with the Ens Tac station for a HYT or TS ability.

At 45k Dilithium for each extra above 4, you should really think whether you actually need 7 or 8. 6 is an optimal arrangement with a fore torp and aft KCB, torp or mines.

That really is a no-brainer. The Epts3, EptW and EptE will have 100% uptime, as will TT. DEM and TSS will be much more usable and your power levels will be flooded. You only run 2 copies of one emergency power if you are not running either DCEs or Aux2Bat.

The second copy of Aux2batt does work good.
But I sometimes I dont play that style of needing the constant uptime, In PVP yes, run a second copy.
I'm currently farming Nukera marks and doing the Crystal mission and the vault over and over. Having 2 EPTS works better for "Me" when doing the grind missions, I'm not always playing the Aux2Batt mini game while fighting.
Someday I will set it all up on a keybind or macro it on a gaming keyboard (Like the leet PVP'rs do) but while grinding I dont need it as much.
It's all about what play-style works for each person in each mission. But if in Arena or capture and hold slap on a second copy of Aux2batt for sure. And lots of Aux Battries.
