Is an armor slot in the works?

I was wondering if this idea was killed or not. To me, adding an armor slot frees up eng. console slots for a good deal of diversity in ship builds. For example, captains can use their ship specific consoles without being quite so squishy. Items from boxes might become more popular. RCS consoles will probably be used more. The current super tank builds would not benefit too much because of the diminishing returns of armor.

So, sorry to stir this pot again if this has already been addressed.

I would ask you to reconsider your question after looking at the consoles that are coming with the dilithium mine. I that should answer your question.

Geko killed it, he couldn't figure out how to balance it properly, saying something about how it would make everyone more tanky. :rolleyes:

So he made the Fleet Neutronium with extra RCS. Because that is so balanced.......

I think the only item they could add to ships now would be a computer core.
