I forget what mission name it is, but after you finish the one where you battle with your shuttle in the Rhi colony atmosphere, one of the mission rewards is a set of [Rebreathers] for you and your BOff crew. These are used in a couple subsequent missions, and are quite nice. Since I'm past that storyline I would like to delete them, however I am wary of doing so lest I run content that requires their use again, and the only way to obtain them is by replaying the same mission again. I don't want to always have them on my BOffs either, since they end up looking like Bane and his underlings(:D), and they waste valuable inventory/bank space.
I get having the [Rebreathers] as a reward for players running through the storyline for the first time, since it introduces them to the mechanic, but afterwards I would like to just obtain them from my replicator at will like with [Frequency Remodulators].
How about in addition to the [Rebreathers], one of the rewards is a replicator unlock to produce more [Rebreathers] should you need them? I imagine the [Rebreathers] could be used in other episodes down the road, so it would be nice to have an easy way to get them if the need arises.
Having them in game, one could imagine many potential uses for future missions.
However, I would like to see them functional in PvP as well, perhaps in offering a defense to gas-based attacks, (which should also be eliminated by wearing a suit.)
Hearts and Minds springs to mind as a useful time to use these.
yep they work very well for that start of the mission.
And they give protection from gas based attacks if you have them equipped and turned on.
Though most players don't seam to use gas attacks of that sort though...so its kind of useless for many attacks....and you also have to turn them on....so if you get stunned or some other silly thing....they turn off.
Power without Perception is Spiritually useless and therefore of no true value.

It's not like rebreathers are Romulan super secret experimental tech. The Tal Shiar Adapted Rebreather, maybe, but not the regular ones.

I noticed my BOFF's enjoy wearing theirs even when not needed when kept in active ground boffs. I guess they think htey look badassed with them on.
