My Friends, the other day I was going through my account features and noticed that certain emotes have been blotted out and cannot be used, a sample one is the "Khan" emote that could only be gained if you had previously purchased the Deluxe Edition of Star Trek Online.
There are many more emotes that are blotted out, such as the Orion sexy hip dance etc...
There is also the special items from box sets from Target, Deluxe set, and Collector's Edition sets of STO - Stuff that can no longer be obtained, like the Target special weapon version, or digital sets of the Deluxe Edition.

Most of these were only available either in the Hard Copy Target Store Version and for the Deluxe edition content were only available online through Atari, DLGamer, GameTap, Steam, or XFire
I am hoping they release all these in the CStore at a modest price - As a collector of all things STO related - I would love to get my hands on all of these items. Some are no longer available - which makes them more desirable.
Any plans on re-introducing these items for purchase at the CStore
I have the bloodwine, khan, and automated defense turret. Really like the defense turret. I get it for all my characters and it is good at shooting down torpedoes.
I feel they should at least introduce the items I have mentioned in future Lock Boxes, including the emotes. That way it is a win win situations for everyone.
When I got my pre-order lifetime sub, I decided to buy all of the pre-order's for their bonus'....I actually thought i had bought all of the pre-orders, including the Joined Trill but didn't know about the turret not sure how that one squeaked by me, . They are useful, but I still wind up blowing up and laying on my back as much as anyone else with comparable set up and skill level.
I bought the target pre order for the rifle, but lost the code so never claimed my rifle.
The Red Matter Cap can only really used 2 - maybe 3 times in a STF with an average or better team. it's as useful as the z-store induction coil console, but with twice the cool down - plus triggering one will put the other on a cool down as well.
At endgame, the turret is useful for stopping most HY torps , and letting you know if someone is cloaked near you in PvP. but that's it - and it takes up a tac console slot. I keep it on all my ships, but most people opt out in favor of more DPS.
The body armor eventually get's outclassed by drops around level 15-20, but is helpful for starting new characters.
I think its been long enough for a lot of these items, i mean some have already come back (NX class/Constellation class/Trill etc), while it is up to them, it just doesn't make sense that you would allow some but the rest is a no go.
...talking to players is like being a mall Santa. Everyone immediately wants to tell you all of the things they want, and you are absolutely powerless to deliver 99% of them.
the thing is , a lot of the promotional items were done with deals with the respective places that sold them ( as far as im aware ) so it isnt as easy as ' stick it in a lockbox'

I think you're correct. The ease of which they can get these items into the game likely depends on the specific deal originally made with their retail/promotional partners.

also , while i can say it wouldnt bother me that much ( i have the RMC , defence turret and a few other goodies ) it might really annoy some people who took the time to preorder those things if they were made available to everyone

You're probably right, but really...they've had exclusive access to this stuff for years. The statute of limitations on exclusivity ran out long ago.
