Another C-Store Question

Hello all,

I'm new to the game < 1 month into it and I'm having a blast! I already purchased the lifetime and some zen to support the company that's sucking up all my free time ...

I did a search and I found a partial answer, but I had some follow-up questions. I was wondering when things purchased from the C-Store will count towards all your characters and not just one.

It seems like (from other posts) ships will be redeemable in all your characters, so if I buy an Ody 3-pack that means each of my federation characters will be able to have all 3 of them. (Yay! But correct me if I'm wrong...)

But what about things like inventory slots or Bridge officer slots? The description is a little vague. And what about bridge officers? Do each of my characters get to have that bridge officer I purchased?

Thank you again in advance for your help! I really do appreciate it for helping out a newbie like me. Looking forward to seeing you in-game!

C-Store ships are account wide, but Personal, BO & inventory slots are purchased on a per character basis...

i think ships and costumes are the only thing unlockable by all characters. I dont know if things like the DS9 or Enterprise bundles are one time buys or not. most my stuff i got back before it went to single account unlocks for a lot of items like the tribbles and Bridge officers.

The DS9 and Enterprise era bundles are the other accountwide (and even faction-spanning) assets that I know of - apart from (obviously) more character or account bank slots and ships as well as costumes. Please recall that You can always dismiss C-Store bought ships and get them back again - nice to know if You want a particular item from such a ship for another ship, f. e. This only counts for C-Store ships, though.

Thanks everyone! That cleared it up for me.

A follow up again about something deianirrah said: Did you mean if a purchased C-Store ship has a particular console I can claim it, remove the console to my inventory, dismiss the ship, then reclaim the ship again and end up with the ship and two copies of the console? (Thus saving me from needing to move consoles over between ships if I want to swap to a different active ship?)

    Thanks for the info!

Edit: this is surely a dumb question, but is the C Store in the game the same as the C Store online? I noticed I'm having problems using the web interface, but didnt want to buy something in-game with different claiming rules...

The Web C-Store has been removed, so now the only access is via the in-game C-Store interface, which has the same claiming rules as the former web store...

And yes, C-Store ships can be claimed and dismissed multiple times if you want copies of those unique consoles.... (That Point Defense System works nicely in a shuttle or fighter...)

Keep in mind that some of those special consoles can't be doubled up. I wanted to try putting multiple Quad Phaser Cannons on my escort, wouldn't let me do it. :D

Thank you everyone for your help and patience. I'm finding the STO crowd to be one of the nicest groups online.

    Hello again,

I finally made it to level 50! I celebrated by buying the Oddy pack and the two escorts that had the point defense console and quad phasers. Thank you everyone for your help!

A friend of mine, whom I had also trapped with this game, made it to level 50 and he's thinking of starting an alt. During the course of his playing, he had purchased a number of ships from the vendor (I'm pretty sure it was vendor and not the c-store). He is a silver player right now. Would any of these ships be available to his alts? He also purchased an Oddy pack so I think he'll be good if/when that character gets to the end game, but he was wondering about his other purchases.

    Thanks again!

Generally, Vendor purchases (made with either ECs or Dilithium) are bound to the character...

Only Z-store ships are available to alts, and only to alts of the same faction. So if you bought a Fed ship, only a Fed alt (or a Romulan allied with Fed*) can claim it.

Ships bought off the exchange (ie in a box), or bought from the shipyard using dilithium or ship modules are per character only.

*Some restrictions apply depending on the ship. Romulans cannot fly T5 ships of their allied faction.
