too many HUGE ships

i do not like how all the new Romulan Ships dwarfed all the formerly BIG ships.

The D'Derdiex + Scimitar should have been it for the HUGE Ships. The rest like the Ha'pax should have been avarage sized.
But with that monstrosity of the "Ha'pax" (?) everything else just seems tiny...


Jem'Hadar Dreadnought? feels kinda small now and was scaled 1/3 to small anyway.
Odyssey, barely impressive anymore...
Bortas'qu ... just one of many.
Adapdated Destroyer / Cruiser should have felt HUGE... but... they just feel average somehow.


and for the love of god... do something with the horrible collision detection, those huge ships have so huge collision detection-*bubbles* that another Warbird often would easily fit under or above it

spawn points in social maps / sector space are so clogged up by the big ships
now everyone gets pushed around on the spawnpoint
and often needs to fight his way through just to fly straight forward...



am i the only one slightly annoyed by this?

I do agree about the orbit/ sector space thing. Its no so much as ships being huge but the muster spawn points aren't spread out enough resulting in ships unable to get past one another and or two or more ships getting tangled up in their own collision detection and 'dragging' themselves across the map.

well... they could make the bortas, odyssey and jem dread larger and honestly especially the bortas, but otherwise, the size is kinda ok, also romulan main ships were always huge and larger than others more often than not(with the exception of TOS).

Yeah I've noticed that space is rather clogged up these days. On one hand it's cool seeing so many players in game. On the other, I'm bumping into other ships everywhere I go now.

i don't agree

- D'Derdiex = huge
- Bird of Prey = small
- ENT Bird of Prey = small
- TNG Science / Scout ship = small
- "Mogai" = wide but thin

there is no indication of ALL HUGE ships on Romulan side besides the D'Deridex, and that one was empty on the inside.

Also, we are talking about a little refugee camp here on New Romulus, those guys do not have the resources to build their own Starbase, but are flying around in the biggest things the Quadrant has produced?
That does not add up. They should have had like 20 variations on the Small Birds of Prey and maybe 5 big D'Deridex / Mogai Skins.

And technically the Scimitar was a Reman Ship.


That Ha'Pax on the other hand has a massive Mass on the center, has Engine Exhausts that are larger than most Ships in the game and on top of that it has Wings that just make it look huge.

If you'd scale that ship down by half or 75% it would be a good looking Escort type Ship, but as is it just looks like a huge Bomber Plane or something... not like a Star Trek Ship.

I don't even mind the ship really, it is just that it is the one free choice for Romulans at Tier 5, so there are a lot of those flying around everywhere, simply for the lack of FREE alternatives.


And honestly, but just my personal pet peeve, i find it SAD that the D'Deridex was already dwarfed by the Ha'Pax on arrival... and the "shiny and new car smell" already got outclassed instantly by the arrival of the Adapted Destroyer/Cruiser...
no time to enjoy the actual Ships i was waiting for, not yet anyway.
And next i got a Scimitar and a "Risian Corvette" (whatever that is?) to worry about.
