I was trying to copy/paste my version number from the launcher, and I accidentally opened some kind of command prompt debug window. It's giving me detailed updates on the patch:
Something wrong with the patcher... *shrug* Its patching for me, but it stops and crashed at around 90% logging in it has no problem but then it slows when it patches and it even causes my computer to visibly slow down...
Edit: now its stuck saying "patching"

I beg you Cryptic please don't implement the Dilithium Mine Fleet Holding system until you have got a stable game platform. The last 4 weeks since LOR has been a nightmare, I'm starting to call the expansion "Load Of Rubbish". It's not funny any more.
<rage>I just came back to the game after like a 2 week vacation and this is what I am faced with... Time for another vacation. Maybe indefinate.</rage>

"Working as intended"... 1 year later they "fix" it.
I am more interested in how releasing two patches, to two different games that share the same datacenter, was even remotely sounded like a good idea....
same here, i wish i COULD patch. the game server was hooribly wonky before the patch, dumping me off every few seconds, and now the launcher just sits there and then eventually tells me it cant log in, so i should check MY internet connection. dont ya just looooove generic error codes? lol ennyway, i hope of course that this problem gets fix, but most of all? i hope that the game becomes enjoyingly playable again. well , later guys.

I don't get what the deal is with the space AI, I am sitting on 10% thrust and I am passing ships, to the point i have to stop or go backwards. I am pretty happy to just sit there and unload into it but not sure it is much of a winning strategy.
Did someone actually code this as a good idea for a ship to attempt? Hey, lets just not try to bring any of our forward weapons to bare. It is not like the ones that do it have any serious rear firepower. Is it a failed top gun maneuver where I am to fly right past it?
Then you have these escorts which god knows what they are using they are zipping around randomly, and usually fly way out of weapons range which allows me to plow through the poor sucker left behind.
I don't really mind space combat as it is but it is more like dog fighting in space rather than a tactical or strategic battle. I like EVE space combat because I don't have to sit there in a sharp turn constantly so there is more of a strategic element at play. I guess if the AI was actually half decent at it then it could be decent, but the AI is pretty terrible at fighting and unless they have brutal and OP abilities they otherwise do not really represent any challenge.
I am curious if there was any plans in the future to spruce up the combat. I think I almost prefer ground fighting now, at least the AI dont run up to you and turn their back on you and stand still. :P
