Looking for a social fleet.

Hello, my in game name is Timmy O'Toole, and actually I am looking for a new fleet. I started playing about a week ago and joined a fleet about a day later. Well 90% of the time I am the only one online and it's getting quite lonely.
What I am looking for is mature fleetmates who don't like to partake in drama. I'm still learning the ropes in STO and still have a little ways to go till I hit 50. I do not ask for hand outs and try to help out guildies when I can.
A little about me. I 'm 41, live in the mid west. I work a swing shift so I'm on at different times every day. The bad part about that is that I can't be on the same hours every day, the good part is that I get to play with people from different time zones that I wouldn't normally get to regularly. I don't really care for pvp, haven't tried it here yet but I read that it's really unbalanced now, especially for new players. I'm not leveled enough for end game content yet but I am willing to get into it.

Let me offer you an open invitation to The Mak'Tar. Our fleet was founded a year ago and Galaxy Quest (a 1999 sci-fi parody of Star Trek, worth seeing lol) is our inspiration for the type of atmosphere we try to keep in this fleet. Laid back, having some laughs and of course keeping things mature & drama free.

We have a few members around your age and most members range from 18-50 years old. All our members take part in regular events for pretty much any aspect of the game and we offer a variety of officer roles if your looking to work your way up through the ranks and help in the day to day running of the fleet. We believe that with some hard work and sticking together, that we can create a group of friends who will continue to have fun and game together regardless of what game we are playing.

We understand that real life always comes first, so we offer a Risa Shore Leave area for members to post in when they want to take a break. Honesty & communication are some of our biggest policies and we encourage members to let us know if they have a problem, suggestion or idea to let us know straight away. We like to keep an open door policy and our ranking structure is purely administrative. We value the opinion of all our members, regardless of their rank, age or how long they have been a member.

We have many members across the US, Canada, UK and rest of Europe. We strive to keep a family type atmosphere and always have people bringing in friends & family to the fold. We have regular events every Friday & Saturday. We're happy to run anything with anyone and even have members that are a part of a Hazard Team to run through missions and episodes that people need help with or want to redo.

All members are required to register to our website as that is how we communicate everything fleet & game related. On joining our fleet you'd start your journey as a Cadet 1st Class for 2-4 weeks to see how you like it! We don't have hundreds of rules, just some simple core rules; respect each other, be honest, have fun and if you need a break let us know. We offer a voice server on Mumble which we only require for Fleet Events (not required to speak, you can just listen too) and highly encouraged the rest of the time. We're hoping we can bring people together and make some good friends while we're here gaming and having fun.

First of all I hope you will be happy in any fleet or community you choose, ST especially, but any MMO game can be made or broken by the people around you.

Let me just give you a further option, SSO Fleet we are new, about 8 weeks old, and already very populor.

This is because we watched how a lot of other fleets did it and realised it wasn't for us, we are a majority of adult, mature players so or fleet is rated 16. This means you utter the odd curse word and we won't beat you over the head with a frozen fish.

We don't have any obligations, no fleet exclusivity rule, no activity rules, in fact the only rule we have is don't be a douche.

We are looking to make friends to play with us in an exteme casual enviroment, where we are more interested in you the player than what you can do for us. There is always a fair amount of people on through quite a few time zones, and weekends and afternoons we are buzzing with people hanging, chatting, doing STF's and fleet runs together.

We actively like to help new people and our fleet bank, and starbase is set up this way, we run events for prizes and for fun, but mostley we are just looking for other friends for out community who like to hang out and play the same game.

We have a very professional web site, forums, and mumble servers and specially desgined unique fleet graphics and art. This is because just because we don't act the part, doesn't mean we can't provide top notch facilites.

Ad we have a wide range of interests from group events, to RP. However at the end we are passionate that YOUR game time is yours to do with as you wish...
