T5/Vice Admiral Sci Ships?

Having primarily played Feds, I am missing my end level Sci Ships. Got the Legacy pack, but as far as I can see, the only Sci ships at end game level are if you have access to a T5 Fleet Shipyard (a long long way away for me and my fleet). I'd love to see a retrofit of the Ha'nom. Or at least let my Rom-Fed faction use the Vesta pack I have already purchased.

Hrmm, I'm going to edit this before posting it...

There had been talk of the Romulan Science Vessel, as one can read about on Memory Alpha being added. That would fit in nicely at the T5 Retro slot for Sci. If that's still on the whiteboard or in development, only Cryptic knows...as far as I know.

    The Ha'nom is a T5 ship as T5 starts from RA (lvl40).

Pretty much lists all the Tiers here and what level they Kick in at

As for the Ha'nom its a good ship for the Sci captain until you can get the fleet version of it.

Don't forget Mirror versions of warbirds, I think they tend to have more sci stations and consoles like the Terran Empire ships do.

I am sorry man. As a Romulan right now you have access to several T4 dedicated SCI ships and then fleet ships with a big gap right now at VA you will not be able to get past without joining a big fleet. However, the Scimitar carrier announcement is coming soon and liable to be released next month. There will be three versions and one presumably a SCI ship. I don't know why things were done this way and do feel for you.

As an aside, I have read several SCI captains claim that the T'varo retrofit is a lot of fun for them to fly in the mean time. It might be worth a look to cover until such time as the SCI carrier is here.

PS: If you have the EC or the cash for keys to sell, you can get one of those Tal'Shiar Battle Cruisers. I am mixed on those personally but some like them.

    I don't understand the problem.

Retrofitting ships is a matter of taking T1 - T4 ships and making them T5.

You already have access to a T5 science ship, the Ha'nom guardian warbird. This ship has the exact same level of overall capability as any non-fleet, non-premium(lockbox or 3pack) science vessel in the game.

Even if they do add the science vessel (and possibly a retrofit for it, if its lower than t5), this ship will be exactly the same power level (though likely different in boff stations etc.) as the Ha'nom.

EDIT for clarity: VA (Level 50) is NOT a new tier of ship strength. VA ships are all T5, just like the SA ones. The only improvement you get over any lvl 40 or 50 ship is the small improvement (10% hull and shields, 1 more console) of the Fleet and Premium ships (Premium meaning from a Lockbox or a C-store 3-pack - not all c-store ships)
