totally agree...
I was quite impressed with the beginning of the Romulan story and loved every minute of it untill I reached level 30. Now it`s just a Fed with a Rommie shirt on having Deja Vu`s of missions played before So I parked the character and I`m back on playing with my fed character.
Although I understand the situation of Rommies and forging an alliance with FED/KDF, I sure hope the alliance is temporarily till the they can stand up for their selves. So in a season or 2 I wish the dev`s continue the story by breaking the alliance and the Rommies are back on their own feet. Then instead of building a starbase, a rommie faction can create a groundbase on new Romulus and a embassy on Earth / Qnos. They need to become independent and back major power which has influence in the Beta Quadrant!
I want to see an independent romulan empire, that don't mean lead by the tal shiar either.
I want to see the empire united not divided.
considering the romulans are meant to be a major power in the beta and alpha quadrants it's still baffling as to why they need to ally with any one. as a player/captain it would have been far better if you was a major part in the empire uniting once again. but with the need to ally with some one the empire is a meaningless republic that is divided not united.

I feel that way playing my KDF, hence why I don't play the Fed anymore. Nor do I play my Romulans after doing all the new missions.
Cross faction missions (apart from the rep grind) is just a bad idea and rather lazy. I for one would have much rather they had taken another 3-6 months to work on the expansion and given all factions a unique mission line up. Rather than copy and paste the Federation missions to the other two factions.
They only need each faction to have say 50 missions, 1 per level to be viable as people will do duty assignments, use skill boosts, side-missions and do dilithium dailies while they are leveling and gain additional XP.
The way the game is set up today it makes more sense to only play one faction, and only roll a character in the other to factions to play their few (non-Fed) unique missions, then decided what faction you prefer and use those other faction characters as dilithium and EC farmers. I mean really who doesn't in this game have a farmer on another faction (or the same faction) due to the expense and character bound philosophy of this game?
On the subject of a Romulan starbase, my son came up with the idea why don't they have a flotilla or colony that they develop like the other factions do a Starbase. It would make sense considering the state of the Romulans losing their homeworld etc. The biggest challenge would be the special projects and the interior. Something the team are quite capable of doing going by all the new Romulan interiors throughout the missions.
Support the Game by Supporting the KDF, equality and uniqueness for all factions!

In the end.... we`re all Ferengi!
