Having the same thing happen to me as well. Enter my password and it is unable to authenticate from the launcher. I can access my account just fine from the Websites Account page tho.
i was in game and try to change caracter tham! could do it ad to exit game and relog and now as i try to login it give me the message unable to authenticate
I had just leveled up a Reman alt to centurion, allied with the KDF, went to claim some of my previous purchases from the C-Store and got errors on being unable to complete the transactions for unknown reasons. So I logged out and attempted to log back in, only to get the "unable to authenticate login" error.

Nothing against you, but since I'm not the only one, that does make me feel a bit better, I know it isn't my computer or internet connection...hopefully.

Was playing, tried to switch characters, it hung up, then kicked me back to the lo gin screen, wouldnt log in, closed game, now the launcher just tells me:

Obviously since I am here posting, I am connected to the internet, but the game launcher wont let me patch/login.
yeah, I got a massive error, while doing tour of the galaxy... and it crashed, big time. Can't get back in.

Ya so my game was working just fine earlier this morning, then I stopped for a bit to play another game with a couple friends and when I went back to STO I put in my log in stuff and all it said where the load bar usually is was "unable to authenticate".... no patch option no engage option just sat there unable to authenticate... is the server down?

How terribly annoying, was just about to do the doff for my toons.
They'll be like cows waiting to be milked now, getting all restless and antsy until they're relieved of their dilithium, CXP and random items.

It worked yesterday, I can login here with the same details, the Launcher did not patch today, so why does it not authenticate now?
