"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
Prior to the release of "Legacy of Romulus", I ended up deleting my level fifty KDF. Since the KDF didn't have enough customization, I felt that the faction didn't allow creative expression. My playing experience got bored really fast. I am having a similar problem with the Romulan faction. Even though I have enjoyed all the exclusive missions, the ship and clothing customization is still very limited. Romulan side only has two c-store outfits. KDF side only has one c-store outfit. I will wait and see what happens next.
At first I thought it was the existing promo blog that has been around, but nice to see there were points an the new STO developments for the Empire added in this one.

I don't remember him saying that.
Anyway, nice blog.
