Suggestion for Tau Dewa Patrols

While i like the patrol as it is now, I think it would be cool to see some ground combat mixed in a little bit. It doesn't have to take the place of the space part but the system can randomize which one you get kind of like how the Defari daily functions in the sense that the mission is randomized among about 3 choices for one specific part. An idea i had would be to go down a colony and maybe talk to an administrator and beam supplies down to the colony then proceed to deliver the supplies to different sections of the colony. Heck even beaming down to the colony to fend off an enemy would be fine for me as well. Just a few thoughts :) Jolan tru

    From the ones I've played, the one (perhaps out of date) suggestion was on the Gekli herding mission, if I recall, it says to avoid enemies ... and I did, I made it a point to avoid the poachers, and I still was forced to kill them to complete the mission. I'm all for saving the gekli, but killing several hundred people to do so doesn't make a whole lot of sense ... at least let me disable their ships instead of killing them.

    Didn't you guys Realise that this game now is about blasting your way through everything. When was your last time you had a mission design by cryptic which is about supplier runs or even Distress call to a colony about any natural event. This game needs a rename because its start to feel like non trek. Everything is shot first talk later. Max Diplomacy and I can't even use it to stop a conflict in space. Haha. I wonder why.:mad:

    Last time I had a non shooting mission, was the patrol missions added at launch I think. I rather liked the one where you find a bunch of giant moth eggs and have to scan them. I used them a lot to level my fed. And there are others, they are just not supported at all any more. There are several diplomatic missions around and about, like at Memory Alpha.

    Actually the latest one is in Tau Dewa, where you have to do all the trading to get the right part.

    I've been trying to make some (non-combat) foundry missions revolving around helping colonists, scientific research and similar exploration style things, but alas my skill with the foundry is lacking.

    So I was thrilled to see all the non-fighting content on New Romulus! I'd really like to see more like this added to the game over time.
