What happen to the Unidine threat?

The UndIne are and should be a major threat more powerful than the Borg they started a story line and then it just ended,and instead we get the Tholians who have Not been a threat since T.O.S ALL I'M SAYING IS THE UNDONE WOULD HAVE MADE A MUCH BETTER STORY LINE FIT

Seeing as they still sit at the end of the current story arc, it does make sense that they will continue on when we get a level cap increase and commensurate story.

The current end of the Undine story points to the Iconians.

I assume they're waiting until they actually bring in the Iconians to resolve this. We've been seeing Cryptic adding in more and more Iconian stuff, some in the background, some direct references (gates, mysterious ships, etc.).

They're clearly building up to the Iconians showing up properly, where they'll resolve a lot of the Romulan, Undine, and other Iconian storylines all at once, while probably starting in on Iconian-centric stories.

I imagine they're cautious about adding more Undine content as it should thematically be at the end of the Undine arc. Which, judging from the cost of Blue Neutronium XI on the exchange, very few people actually are inclined to bother with.

Ever since Janeway castrated the Undine by meeting the Undine Boothsby, they have been a joke anyway.
