So any idea when the foundry, the editor itself, will be back on?
I mean the Legacy of Romulus is great and all, but i would really enjoy getting back to making my own missions. Especially with the new features the editor is suppose to have.
Hopefully soon, they were at a dead stop on republishing for almost a week, seems to have started up again thursday or friday, lots of missions back now.
anyone else notice that in existing misisons in the foundry the glowy circle markers are off target (badly) and some npcs are un-talkable?
yes, that happens to all foundry missions at the moment. the problem with wrong targets on map is happening to every mission target which uses the reach marker from the foundry.
the problem with untakable npcs, this is happening to any npc which is behind a window, forcefield or anything else. this is not happening only to npcs, objects that are placed inside another object also have the problem that you can't interact with them.
as the wrong targets on map are a bug, i am not sure about the interaction-issue. i wonder if that is also a bug or a very poorly conceived "improvement". i really hope it is a bug that will be fixed...otherwise it will destroy very many missions - i already found 4 spotlight missions that aren't playable anymore cause of this.

"Depths of Nukara Prime" one of them? If so I was able to complete ... but the interaction objects are just thrown around the map.. Not where I origonally placed them.

i hadn't play that mission, but if you were able to complete, i guess it's not one of them. what I've played mainly are german spotlights.

i won't think we'll get any new features - we even will loose one, the costume import tool is gone....
only new content that was added were two npc groups (one of them is elachi, the other i don't remember) as it was written at the LoR patch notes.
yeah, the list is pretty long. Besides, the costume import/export tool should be back as soon as they fix whatever was wrong with it.
i'm not sure about that. the problem with this tool was it has caused a crash when doing something thatshouldn't possible, like import a ship costume to a ground npc. but i don't think that was a big problem, and surely no good reason to remove it...they should fix it without removing. i also don't understand where's the problem to fix it, what the tool does is very simple...all it has to do is read a few variables from a file and some exception handling to prevent doing things that aren't possible.
i always wonder why cryptic is concentrating on fixing bugs which are just a very little problem and don't disturb much, while they don't fix the really worse ones ( for example the stuck in ground bug which caused thousands of 1 star ratings)

1: I have never seen the import costume button cause my game to crash, not even when reskinning a ground character as a Tholian ship.
2: cryptic said it was buggy, but did not elaborate on the nature of the bug that caused them to remove it. Thus we don't actually know why it's down at this time.

No, the quick way to crash the Foundry was to try and import an animal. Occasionally, that wouldn't immediately crash the Foundry, but cause a costume with no geo (handy) but would crash the client on exit. Ironically, if you want to crash the Neverwinter Foundry, all you have to do is attempt to advanced edit a drider.

If thats the case Ill lose the ability to play some of my all time favorites, and I guess I never will know the conclusion to vulcan love slave 9 (if anyone knows or made it dont tell me) If you do ill just skip over your post lol.
Anyway, it would TRIBBLE up my current in progress mission where I placed so many people in cages needing to be beamed out. The story will just fall apart and be nowhere near the feel I want to invoke.
I'm making a spider diagram for my next story, and it's getting out of hand!
Thats actually not a bad Idea I haven't thought of that. Wont be able to see the landscape though which will drive me a bit crazy but maybe ill think of something.
wonder if ill be able to force Tovan to say things lol prob not.

I am assuming the long answer is 'noooooooooo' whilst the short is 'no'!

Yup that and occasionally importing a ship onto a ground costume but heck publishing missions will crash the foundry and sometime the foundry just crashes for no good reason.
I really eager to get into the editor again. got a new Romulan mission in the works (in my word processor )its gonna be an Indiana Jones type of adventure story (sort of) and I want to put the final spit and polish on a time to search.
A TIME TO SEARCH: ENTER MY FOUNDRY MISSION at the RISA SYSTEM Parallels: my second mission for Fed aligned Romulans.
You must be new here. :P the launch of LoR was the only time they've ever given a public deadline for something to be released/done.
Not true - The F2P launch also had a hard/announced launch date long ahead of time. (just saying ).
That said, Cryptic no longer gives estimates on stuff like this. They used to, but if they missed it, the forums exploded; so they don't anymore.

I think during one of the previous downtimes, like season 6 or 7, they said something like "It'll be up early next week" and then that didn't happen.
Honestly I'm ok with no timetable. I know they're working on the reach marker bug. I'd prefer that get done before editing is turned back on (I'm sure that's they're plan) and even though I'm no programmer and have no idea how these things work, I'd take a guess and say it's very difficult to say "I'll have bug X fixed on Y date."

it's their, not they're.... totally different meaning
but I'd like a rough timetable, like "hopefully in 2 weeks"

No, it's they're. Their is a possessive word, and would be incorrect in that situation. He used they're, which is the contraction of they are, and he is correct in doing so.
No, I'm afraid deaftravis is correct. The sentence should either read "I'm sure that's their plan" using the possessive form because the plan would belong to them, or it could be changed to "I'm sure that's what they're planning." to use the contraction of they are.
Anyway back on track. You can ask, but I would not expect a timetable. They don't tend to give them out on things of this nature, and they may not know themselves when it'll be up.
