Field Generator Science Station

I'm using MK X Regenerative Assimilated Shields and have 6,008 shields

I picked up a MK XI Field Generator with 17.5% Maximum Shield Capacity to boost it and after equipping it, the shields remain the same. I'm not sure why it's not working.

Any idea why I'm not getting that extra shield bonus?

    Most ship stats don't show up properly if you're not in system space (which would be anywhere where you can use your space buffs and your shields are up). So check whether it shows up there.

    Go to space to check. The game won't properly display any space items/gear/etc if you're on the ground.

    Thanks, It's actually showing up in space.
