T'varo Light Warbird Retrofit, Dhelan Warbird Retrofit, Mogai Warbird Retrofit, or D'deridex Retrofit? And what was your experience with the one(s) you got?
I would love to visit this star in-game...or maybe this one!
Won't SOMEONE please think of the CHILDREN?!

What are your goals? Captain type?

Quite a bit of diversity with those four ships, what's best and why will vary based on goals and captain type. T'Varo is an Enhanced Battle Cloak torp bomber, Dhelan is a damage dealing escort (particularly the 5 Tac console Fleet version), Mogai is a more tanky escort, and the D'Deridex is a slow-turning cruiser.

I have a science Reman who's already VA. I already have a cool energy drain ship and I -might- start another Romulan.

I only have the T'Varo and Mogai retrofits so I can not say anything about the D'Deridex and Dhelan retrofits from experience.

The Mogai is a good ship. It is tactically and engineering focused allowing you to deal nice damage and stay alive more easily. Use it as a Engineer or a Tactical officer.

The T'varo is a ship that has nice offensive ability especially with the 2 piece set and has a useful Lt. Commander universal bridge officer. Use it as a Tactical or Science officer.

Hmm, it's easier to explain by analogy.

T'Varo - Can be flown like a Defiant, and handles like one. Also has the Enhanced Battle Cloak, meaning you can use it like a torp boat in PvP (But seriously, don't bother with this in an STF). I use one.

Dhelan - Pure Patrol Escort handling, but with a bit of a MVAE bent. Haven't tried.

Mogai - Destroyer handling, slightly-better-than Heavy Escort Carrier boff layout. A bit awkward in turn, but has very great alpha-strike potential.

    D'Deridex - No opinion, I can't stand ships that don't turn fast.

I keep going back to the T'Varo with my science captain... and this from a guy who absolutely hated flying escorts since the game launched.
    That ship is just fun.

Love my fleet Warduck, I mean Dhelan. Very nasty little bugger with three different sci options.

Another vote for the Dhelan. I like eng-heavy, dual Aux2Batt escorts like my beloved vet ships. The Dhelan gives me that, plus that very interesting Lt. Cdr Sci slot. As scurry said, it's got a little MVAE mixed in there.

    Base Pve Fleet Dhelan:

    TT1 CSV1 CRF2 APO3
    BO1

    EPtE1 AtB1
    EPtS1 AtB1

    TSS1 HE2 VM1
    or
    ST1 HE2 TSS3
    or
TSS1 HE2 TBR1 (GW or PSW would work as well)

    1 DBB, 3 DHC
2 turret 1 breen cluster (soon adding the KCB in place of one turret)

    5 energy tac consoles
    Tachy, Leach and Neut
Borg and Dhael refit console (may replace with the valdore)

3 purple Techs, 1 new warp core engy (cleanse) and pick one to match Ltc sci power

    currently using nanite disruptors MkXII

Adv Fleet engines, def. and shield until I can start to get decent rep gear.

None of the above. Fleet Ha'Feh Assault Warbird. Full cannon loadout (finally with the Boff layout to support it) and 5 tac consoles. THANKS!

T'varo makes a very flexible hybrid torpedo platform in PvE. With the 2-console bonus you can achieve photon level firing rates for quantums, which backed by 3 pwos means sustained fire with only two quantum launchers. Additionally, the LC uni slot allows for very creative ability combinations

Dhelan - Pure Patrol Escort handling, but with a bit of a MVAE bent. Haven't tried.

The Dhelan has the capacity to be extremely tough, extremely supportive and extremely deadly. She can load up as a combat medic capable of keeping an entire team alive, or focus solely on personal firepower to devastate just about everything in it's path.

Mogai - Destroyer handling, slightly-better-than Heavy Escort Carrier boff layout. A bit awkward in turn, but has very great alpha-strike potential.

2-piece console bonus makes this ship scream as a full gunship. Boff seating allows for huge self-buffage. The Valdore is also absurdly gorgeous. My current ship of choice.

    My thoughts in red
