Tal Shiar Battle Cruiser SHOULD BE the Reworked Galaxy Class!

I am currently flying a Tal Shiar Battle Cruiser and it just seems to me like this ship is everything that I want the Galaxy Class to be but isn't. It gives a good balance between tactical and science abilities, very adaptable design because of its Commander Bridge Officer slot and a reasonable turn-rate.

So I ask myself... Why can you not do this for the Galaxy Cryptic... This cruiser is a PERFECT support build... so why is this not the Galaxy Class Mark II.

That would make a LOT of people very happy! At the very least, give us a Galaxy skin to put on this ship... I would be happy with that.

I'm curious how you came to the conclusion that somehow turning a borgified D'Deridex into a Galaxy makes any sense whatsoever.

His point is that the boff and console layout is exactly what he thinks the Galaxy class should have, and I agree with him. The fact that it's a Tal Shiar ship is irrelevant to his point.

I agree, yet again Cryptic had the opportunity to improve the Galaxy and have shoved it on a lockbox ship instead. Good job!

You might as well ask to throw an Intrepid skin on the Jemmy bug then, since apparently what a ship is has become so detached from it's stats.

Wanting to improve the stats of a ship that's been sub-par forever is one thing. Asking to transform one ship (a ship from an entirely different faction mind you) into something completely different solely because you like the stats of the first ship better is something else entirely.

So your solution is, instead of advocating for an improvement to the Galaxy in light of the D'deridex re-seating that occurred due to testing on Tribble, to instead advocate for a completely idiotic reskin of an entirely alien ship?

What you say with cynicism is the unfortunate truth in this game. There are many ships with stats that make no sense when compared with what they "are". Cryptic made them incongruous because Cryptic plays favourites with certain ships and ignores the needs of the rest.

By yur logic, you might as well call a Fleet Vor'cha a reskin of a Fleet Sovereign when clearly it is not. Changing the boff layout of one ship to match another is not the same as a reskin. You cannot be too stupid to understand this.

Kindly explain to me how opposing a "reskin" of two ships with functionally different stats (turn rate, hull, shields, cloak, weapon mounting capabilities, power bonuses) is somehow analogous to equating two similarly functionally different ships with similar boff seatings.

I see, so you*are* advocating making whatever you want into whatever you want. Good to know.

You're a Federation player, go take that logic over to the KDF boards and see how long until the posters show you just how much favoritism is being shown to Starfleet.

Boys boys boys! The Galaxy has been underrated and squashed down from launch... Cryptic do play with favorites on the Federation side too y'know. They constantly shaft cruisers so that Escorts can be superior... ships that are not even supposed to be Escorts.

Do you really think that an on-line game that is free is going to give you the best boffs on ships that you do not have to pay for? And as for favoring the Fed side, Of course they will. The whole concept of Star Trek is the Federation (AKA GOOD GUYS) against the galaxy. So of course they will have the best equipment, the better weapons, etc. or at least the ability to get them.(That's where you the player come in). We play for fun. Cryptic is a business and makes money by giving the player an edge over the others by having better ships. And before you say it, you or someone else had to buy keys to open those boxes. Remember, you don't get something for nothing, even if what you are paying is your time.

Thats what I'm saying, I would be happy to PAY for a Galaxy with the same boff layout as the Battle Cruiser.

The standard DDX Warbird is like the Galaxy with the same problems in turning.

Most of us accept the T4 Galaxy as she is, we're talking about the Retro.

With appropriate skill and equipment choices the turn rate issue on both ships can quite readily be overcome (especially with creative use of the DD's BC). The Galaxy-R's horrible Boff and Console setup...not so much.

    /sigh

The answer should be obvious. Even to people willfully ignoring said obviousness.

Question: Which one of those two ships is a Lockbox ship?

Answer: Is it the one you find to be preferable and superior?

Regardless, I will still fly my Fleet Galaxy, she s**** all over the Tal Shiar ships in looks and class. Plus, she's a monster in canon and I will fly her with that pride. I have both but that monster is getting drydocked.
