Agree it is annoying. 2 new reviews both say there is a problem with objective direction on the map. And a third one (1star) doesn't even have a comment, could be related to a bug to.
They are the very first comment I have about direction problems.
I don't know who had the bright idea to bring up published Foundry missions first, and not the editor first. We could avoid a lot of problems like this is the Editor was the first to be enabled.

I understand their need to take the Foundry offline, its the lack of telling us how long we have to wait for its return that I hate.
I love Foundry, its like the next generation of fan fiction! <<<<see what I did their?

The damage is done, there is nothing we can do to fix the mess, the 1 star reviews keep piling in. Unless there is a review roll back then I'm done with the foundry. I'm not going to spend hundreds of hours working on missions to have them slaughtered by Cryptic's total disregard for the author's work. As there are so many bugs in LoR to be sorted I am sure that the foundry is near the bottom of a very long list.
Cryptic you need to switch off reviewing, roll back review status to pre LoR and enable the editor so we can fix your mess, assuming it is fixable. If there is no roll back I will just pull all my missions, see how long the players last in STO with nothing new to do. If we all pulled all our missions there would certainly take notice and sort this shambles out.
My understanding of that was that they were disabling the ability to do the initial 5 foundry reviews (i.e. the ones that are done before it becomes public; the stuff that you do when you become a Foundry reviewer). I'm new to the Foundry, so I may be way off on that.
I just assumed that since they were taking down the ability to create missions (like they always do) and republishing the ones that were already published that by "disabling reviews" they mean that they were disabling the ability for missions that had not been made public to become public by getting their 5 reviews while still allowing people to play (and review) missions that were already public before LoR launch. Again, while I've been a player since closed beta, I didn't start dabbling in the Foundry until a month or two ago, so I didn't really pay attention to what went on with the Foundry after season releases. This is my first time going through this process as an author, so I don't know if my interpretation is way off from the way it normally works.
If you got a lot of one star reviews and it really screwed your mission, then just copy it into a new project and republish. It's not ideal, since you lose all the other reviews, too, but it may be better than the alternative.

Not really. When they do this they take down every published mission and republish it automatically, no matter how many review it has, 0 or 50,000. When they come back up, the idea is for the authors to go run their mission and report any bugs. The devs want to know about any bugs that whatever new update might have introduced into the missions BEFORE they turn editing back on. Reviews are supposed to be off across the board so that nobody gets 1-starred for stuff that isn't their fault.
Obviously that last part wasn't done this time, I expect by mistake, and it has been turned off now. There was also, according to Crypticfrost, an internal issue that prevented a lot of missions from republishing the first time around. They started the process again and a lot more are up as of this morning (only one of my 9 missions remains missing).
It would be nice though to get some kind of rollback of any reviews after May 21. I didn't get any one-stars personally, but I know how frustrating it is for authors when that happens. I don't know if they really even have the capability of doing it, but it seems reasonable.
