Faction Only Shield Technology

If I recall from the series and movies.

The Klingons, Romulans and Federation all had their own shield technology.

Is this ever going to be an addition to the game? To give some of the factions uniqueness in technology? Or craft experimental shield tech?

Any ideas?

    It'd be nice if Romulan and Klingon shields were green when struck. We've now seen enemy NPC ships with different coloured shield effects, so it'd be nice to have the same for those factions.
