All we hear is thanks for patience and understanding.
Well patience has its limits.
What is going on with these endless downtimes all the time????
How about doing 24 hour downtime and going through this game with a fine tooth comb.
Not these frequent ones everyday or every other day.
Cryptic, please sort this game out properly and thoroughly.
Many of us have put money into this game, how about using money to get better more advanced servers????
i also stated somewhere that i would prefer a day without STO , but thatfor it would be fixed. so a 24 hour re-set. but i guess first off that most people would not acccept that and come with "BUT I PAID MONEY TO PLAY" posts.... Magical Ponies. xD
So the best would really be a nice and understanding warm hugging post of bran telling us to be patient and thesy take the time for one day to make it the better... (in my eyes)
but that wont happen unfortunately and we are part the reason why it wont happen.
Basically it is because STO has memory leaks and that problem is magnified 1000's of times when they launch an expansion because there are a TON of new players in the game. If they don't do daily maintenance now STO slows down to a crawl, like when you are switching out ship devices and it takes upwards of 20 to 30 seconds for an item to go from your inventory to the slot you put it on your ship, if they don't do the maintenance then eventually you can't switch items out on your ship, or out of your bank to your inventory, etc, it all slows to a crawl and that is why they have daily maintenance now...
Once they get the leaks all patched up we will go back to weekly maintenance...

Shove it fanboy. No one cares what a brown nosing idiot like you thinks.
I too am sick and tired of the downtimes. What in the world is going on? We've been patient long enough, and now we want answers.
Get a BIG server for sto, thatll fix the issue, stop these little maintenances soley to do what you can with what you can. Im sure this game has a good revenue to give the green light on getting STO its own server system which can handle large loads.
Its one thing I liked about TOR, never had to deal with this, or lag for that matter.

Says the TROLL with his 1st forum post. LOL. You're going to do well here jerkaruus or you'll be banned within a week.
Maint happens in all games. A lot don't like it. But it is part of games. Does it happen too often for STO? Yeah but the guy up top is stating the facts. I'd rather it not take 20 to 60 seconds just to change out a tac console, or a wep upgrade.
This game does have more than its share of bugs. Some have been here for a lot longer than I care to remember and they may never get fixed.
But you rage on bro! lol
How is it possible that after the server is restarted, the situation is EXACTLY the same, if not even WORSE?
Agreed! The game was most stable for me the day after the patch. Since then, it's only been downhill. Of particular note: the bug with people getting removed from PVE queues and the bug that rendered people unable to delete in-game-mails didn't start in on me until AFTER the patches meant to fix them!
I don't mind maintenance, even unannounced downtimes. They're a necessary part of online gaming. When i played EVE online, those downtimes even saved me some expensive hardware. However, when the downtimes come and come and come with absolutely no signs of progress, they are unnecessary, annoying, and frustrating.

Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
