Man, what a depressing mission from a Romulan perspective.
"Jeez, in this timeline the Romulan Empire was brutally conquered by the Dominion, but things are better in the prime timeline, right? My crew don't have to live as homeless outcasts?"
"...let's just get you back to your ship."
Oh well. I have named my Ambassador the RRW Narenda III.
Yeah I agree, it was kinda sad, but also a little hopeful when the captain said at the end that there are important events in the 25th century that you have yet to be a part of.
Also, noob question here... Where do you go to redeem the Ambassador class ship? I tried the flotilla and New Romulus but nothing was showing up.

You should have gotten a 'Box' with the Ambassador inside it in your inventory after turning in the mission. Find it in inventory, right click - highlight 'use' then left click and (assuming you have an open ship slot on your character) voila - instant Ambassador Class ship.

My Reman is KDF allied and received the Tier 3 Klingon ship box and WAS successful in activating it, though I will not ever use it. I do agree that there should be more of an incentive for Romulan characters to restore the timeline. The leftover text for Federation and KDF characters is meaningless to a Romulan character unless their is something more specific to entice the player to restore a timeline where most of their people are dead.
One wonders if the Romulans shoulda got their own "Ambassador" ship, but Romulan ambassadors don't seem to have good track records, do they?
I don't know. Caithlin Dar was not treacherous like most of her fellow Romulans (Sybok's mindmeld brainwashing aside). I still fail to see how having an Irish grandfather (in novels) explains her East Asian features, however.

I think there should be a Romulan ship in a box for Romulan players.

From Memory Beta:
The movie novelization explains that her Terran-esque given name, Caithlin, stems from her being one-quarter Human. This also explains her lack of a pronounced Romulan brow. However, neither of these suppositions are canon.
The claim of an Irish grandfather was supposed to explain why she had the name Caithlin (which should be Caitlin in Irish -- the i in the last syllable should have a fada, an acute accent, but the site here apparently dislikes special characters).
As far as the Kamarag reward, I was glad to receive it, since it looks enough like a D7 to pass for one from a distance (remember TOS episode "The Enterprise Incident" with the Romulan D7), and I didn't have to pay for it with Dil, ZEN, or EC. I did eventually get a Koro't'inga and give it the D7 skin, but at that time, the Kamarag was the closest I could come.
Anyway I tried to buy a ship and I was not aware that it appears as a box in my inventory...
so I bought it and this was a free ship and when I select it, it says it costs Zen however its free and available
anyway I ended up buying it like 10 times because every time I went to ship selector... no ship! and finally I opened my inventory and notice 10 boxes in there and I now have 10 copies of this ship!

Yeah, the Romulan Ambassador reward box would probably just give you an "It's FAKE!" accolade.
(Seriously, it would be nice if they shoehorned an actual Romulan ship type in as an end reward for Romulan players of the mission (Hell, it still appears they refer to a Romulan character based on their chosen ally faction, EVEN THOUGH it's a 100% alternate timeline - and Yar and Co. have zero clue as to what occurred post 2367; but, I wouldn't hold my breath.)
