that is what's wrong with the UI

imo.
I just played in the game, and I could not see nothing. first I thought it was the same as with the klinks. you know, that red, that gave you eyecancer, and you couldnt see nothing from it?
the new UI has that problem, with the loads of contrast.
but no. for me the problem is the insane amounts of unused UI space. I mean, if you check around, everywhere you look, the UI is atleast twice as big as it would need to be.
go to a mission, and check it out. the best example imo is the "Mission Briefing" text, at the bottom right corner. it has basically twice the UI darkness around it, it would need. and it does not even need to be dark!
and thats all around the HUD. the most annoying ones are the team mate and shield indicators.
I really want the old ui back. not only the color. but basically the one, that didnt have that blackness sorround everything, and take half my screen off, making me tunnel visiond, unless I make the UI so small, I develop eyesight problems
