Issues NOT Resolved!

1) "Login failed for unknown reason" error

Please remove this from the resolved issues list. It is clearly not resolved. Also, maybe get some better "top engineers"? I seriously don't get how this is so messed up so insanely badly. If your server just can't handle the load, then you should have stress tested better, and you should admit it, stick a cap on for now, and buy some better hardware.

It seems resolved to me. I initially had a time out error, which is indicative of high load. A second attempt worked fine and I had the appropriate empty character slot.

Now I'm just waiting in line. :/

Getting in is easy now, its getting past the que thats hard. I am gonna take a guess that que will hit 50k before it stops climbing min of 25k. What would you do if they put a cap on it? If you were told on login attempt the the que to get in had reached its cap as well lol. And how do you stress test a low pop game in the MMO for an uknown flux of players? You just go to the bank and ask for a 40 million dollar loan just in case the player cap triples with this update? WoW can afford to simply buy new servers because its increase was steady, and the income steady this game didn't even have a steady player base, that is why they had to ditch subscriptions and sell ships for money lol.

I love captain hindsights, the guys who have all the answers after its all broken especially the ones that think its so simple to account for a problem that not even you can take seriously. My money is there are an extra few hundred thousand more then normal today trying to play. So even if they beefed up the servers, this game was never designed to handle these loads, let alone has the hardware. The amount of money they would need would make those founders packs go from 100+ to 400+ and they would literaly have to sell us the expansion for 50 bucks like WoW does, and still wait a few months to get out of debt with the bank lol.

Server rooms cost more then every thing you own, or ever owned put together. A corporate data room costs about 5 million and it doesn't even handle video games just data between offices. The cooling system alone for a gaming server room is in the millions lol

They should be able to host this entire game within 2 racks of equipment, it's not that big.

Also, games like WoW can handle millions of players, Cryptic is choking on 10,000. This speaks very poorly of how they manage their infrastructure.

Anyone else still missing slot for a new romulan character? Or is it just me?
