Where is the delete button?

Ok so finally get to the character select screen, finally get a crew loaded I don't want anymore, and I cant find the delete button. Am I just blind? is it missing due to the server issues? or has PWE decided I have to buy a new character slot instead of deleting an old one?

    You don't need to delete any of your characters, everyone gets an extra slot for free.

    Yeah, I think I got an extra character slot or two as I'm starting over with a new crew altogether while reviving ones that I discharged. I like it as I can start over again and correct some mistakes while making my main character's journey different than my previous character's.
