Romulan or Reman?

Reman: Extends de-cloaking benefit by 10 (seconds?)

Romulan: Increases de-cloaking damage.

Both have a stealth bonus, apparently.

Decisions, decisions...fortunately I got logged out, so I can ponder it at leisure. :rolleyes:

    Remans get a species trait:

    On Ground
    +1.5% Expose Chance
    +1 sec Expose Duration
    +10% Exploit Damage
    +25% Resistance to Flanking damage
    +5 Resistance Rating vs. Energy/Physical

    They can select:

    Infiltrator (Space)
    +2.5% Defense
    +7.5s duration on Ambush (decloak)
    +150 Stealth when using Cloak abilities

    Romulans...er...they get Subterfuge and can take Operative. Don't remember the stats off hand...

    Remans also get various costume/ship material things too...I mean, sure you get it free if you've got T5 Rom Rep; but for folks that don't...it's 1000 Zen.

    Will Reman space trait be add to BO?

    and will Reman BO stack?

    can you get 30sec added decloack bonus?

    If you're looking to do space more than ground (especially for PvP) Romulans are the way to go. Especially with the new plasma type coming out. Remans are meant for ground due to the neural attack. Besides, 10 seconds of extra time won't be needed it they're dead twice as fast ;P

    I don't know...additional time to the de-cloak/ambush buff is pretty strong stuff. ANd if you don't use plasma...

    Warp Core Engineer
    Chance for Emergency Power to X to cleanse all negative effects (Debuffs, Controls and DOTs)
    o Provides periodic cleansing every 0.5sec for 2sec duration when triggered.
    o Chance to activate scales as follows: 20% / 30% / 40%

    So basically the quote you put is showing us that if you use emergency power to ___ you'll get the same thing you would if you use Hazard Emitters? Not worth it. Plasma buff ftw.

    He's quoting a doff proc, not a species trait.

    That every 15s, there is a 40% chance for them to clear the Plasma.

    That's on top of if they've got HE. That's on top of the reduction from STF/ResB shields reducing any Plasma energy hits to shields (they don't help with hull). That's on top of possible Borg procs. That's on top of the change to Plasma Inducers no longer buffing Torp DoTs or EWP.

    That's kind of what I was saying...

    ...besides, it's not just a 40% chance for a HE cleanse for 2s cycling every 0.5s; it's a 40% chance for a TT/ST/ET/PH/AtD/APO/HE/etc, etc, etc cleanse. Debuffs, Control, and DoTs.

    So er, I'm not sure how you're seeing the new WCE DOFF as a Plasma buff...when er, Plasma is at its worse state in the game.

    Yeah its all very unclear to me as well.

    How would you know what traits you can pick later for a specific species if it doesnt tell you? :/

    There is nothing in the character creator that says u can have Subterfuge/Operative later on as a trait lol

    Or am i missing something?

    After 2 hr of playing the game I have some answers

    First off in char window under trait it show your trait this also can be done for Bo

    Reman BO do have same space trait

    Does it stack? Further testing has to be done but in theory u could be looking at de-cloaking alphas lasting 30 sec, and in theory enough time to re-cloak and do it over again.


    What will pvp become with superspeed EptE, 100% alpha cloaking bop, insane reg, spike or nothing pvp ?

    Yeah, the Character Creator doesn't help in the least. The way they're handling it with giving the free respec token instead of letting you select, well...I suppose there are two sides to that. Folks might make mistakes if they were allowed to select on their own. The folks that have researched, well - they know what they're getting into before they pick the species/career (cause yeah, there's the Career Traits now too).

    Third party sources. Trial and error. Maybe the forums here.

    Yep, new players might have it a little rough.

    Even if the extension is less, it looks like it should be easy to lower the cloak cooldown (via boffs) enough so that you would always have the buff.

    So TVaro with multiple BO plus torps plus EBC plus long damage buff...

    The reman infiltrator trait states that you gain +200 stealth.

    The romulan trait, does not specify anything. Only that you do more damage, and have more stealth when cloaking.

    So for me it was obvious. No clear info about the romulan trait, so I started a reman.

    I took romulan, not sure why. :p

    Oh man i cant wait to fly mogai dhelan and dhael in end game PEE VEEE PEEE!!! :D

    Took Reman. Looks cool with Nemesis uniform. And u can have cool glasses and gangsta hood :D
