sence the price of things went up after the game went free to play but the script ends didnt change i think an addded master key a month should be offered as well
The price of some things went up with FTP, and some things went down. And you're given a Stipend to compensate for some of that increase - and you can choose to buy 4 Master Keys with it if you wish.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
I agree... the price of Master keys is so high. One would think that they could afford to give just a few away. And that could actually get people interested in buying more keys. (It's funny how that works)
A few months back some shady little Ferengi (NPC) was hiding out by one of the windows on ESD. When I approached him he sent me off on a mission to Drozana Station whereby I received three keys and three boxes. (maybe it was four, can't recall).
Not as much lobi in the boxes and certainly no free ship, but the other usual stuff was present.
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward." - Rocky Balboa (2006)
I think LTS should stop feeling entitled to everything.
But mama told me I was a special little angel who would never know grief or sorrow...

Change it to Gold Player/LTS ...
Maybe as a Veteran Reward?
"Fractal Decryption Key" 1200 Day Reward, Once per Account, comes with 1 charge, Opens one Lockbox, then have to recharge for 20 days (can store up to 3 charges)
(I bet it would do a better job to hook "freeloading" Lifers (slight sarcasm) on lockboxes then the lobi thing on drozana)
Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...

Everyone gets that mission once on each character.
right now we are getting 500 STo only zen a month?
That is $5 a month.... the lifetime membership was what... $200? $300?
at $200 bucks... it would take 40 months to get $200 or 3.33 years.
If it was $300... that would mean 60 months or 5 years to get our money back as prizes...
Unless you have a lifespan of an American Newt (3 year lifespan), or a Gerbil (5 year lifespan) then what's the problem? Even when you hit those year dates as a lifer they still pay you afterwards with the stipend, at that point you're getting back more than you put in (Not to mention the instant access to all vet rewards as a lifer, that normal gold members have to actually get legit).

I really like this idea.
As an LTS holder, I never expect to receive anything. No one should "expect" to receive items in a game, period. Nothing is handed to you for free for a reason, because you have to earn it. I was brought up under parents that taught me what it meant to work. Sometimes we got something from the work, other times (most) I never received anything but a thank you.
I like Valenn1's idea, but I will never expect Cryptic to do that, because they simply do not have to do it. I stopped using lockboxes after I wasted a months zen stipend and 3.2 million EC. I used it all just to get it out of my system, much as I did in Guild Wars 2 (they have the exact same system). It's a way to make revenue in the game by having people buy keys, I can almost bet you that those keys are making up a large portion of cash transactions. PWE is certainly getting paid.
I want to get a fleet Chimera with 10 consoles (1000 day fleet vet ship) on the star-base (tier4).

i am now an LTS and i dont think we should be getting everything simply because we put our money into it. i knew full well that i put my money into it and dont expect anything special from it either and neither should anyone else with these entitlement issues. one should not be looking at the short term loss, but the long term gain instead which is a heck of a lot better.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
You mean in addition to ~$700 worth of unlocks, if you're just counting all the free characters you can create?
How many characters can I create... versus non lifers? I have not played in the Free to Play mode yet. I did load the game up yesterday and dropped 30 minutes in the Federation side to see the tutorial and then quit waiting for today.

What?
No seriously. What?
You're just a machine. And machines can be broken.

You seem to forget the 'Subscriber' part of Lifetime Subscriber.
Remember the monthly subscription cost?
Seriously, WTF... I blame the schools.

As a gold member you get 1 more extra slot than silver members (4 vs 3). Although with your stipend, you can easily upgrade it.

As a lifer you can create 6. The 3 every F2P gets, 1 from gold, 2 from Vet awards.

There could be other perks but I am pointing out a single one. To be honest, I have no idea many of the perks or the use of buying certain things yet. I am so sorry if I invested money in this game but you invested more time. i will apologize. I dont even know if I would want a key or not. I would imagine they open up a box like in Neverwinter where I can get a special fire breathing ship or a XP boost?

Umm, are you not forgetting all the bonus stuff you get?
things like liberated borg, titles, get the veteran bonuses all 700 days at once etc? those worthless to you?

That's a bit exaggerated. Consider that lifetimers have essentially committed in advance to play this game for over 18 months (when it was $299.99). Silver members can leave the game at any time without losing a penny, while Gold members are only committed for only one month.
Still, I believe that a Master Key per month would be too much. Instead, Cryptic could revamp the Captain's Table and actually make it worth something. Right now it's a useless feature IMO. A few improvements to the Captain's Yacht would also be welcome.

To the OP,
no, just no on us getting free keys, we can buy some each month with our "Stipend" (correct spelling for you)
"If everyone used Macs, we'd be working on how to get to Alpha Centauri rather than how to get to Mars."
As one who spent a large amount of money on a lifetime sub, I beg to differ. :P
Until you've spent over $1500 on $12-$15 a per-month sub to WoW or CoH for 7-8 years, I beg to differ that you've actually spent a "large amount of money" :P

I don't care how long you've been playing. I only care about how you play.
And remember to follow the rules.

I'm going to second this but add a stipulation for the next LTS posting some entitlement request or demand - they LOSE their LTS for good!

I don't want anything to do with Lockboxes.
If they make a fleet variant sans console, I would squeal.
