ok so I just bought a kumari, it took me AGES to save up for and I spent a little on ZEN for this amazing-looking ship that supposedly fights well... So I got it, looks sexy on the outside, I go into it... AND THIS IS ALL I FKING GET!!??
A TINY BRIDGE WITH A BARREN READY ROOM THAT DOSEN'T EVEN HAVE A WINDOW??????
NO ENGINEERING BIT??
NO TRANSPORTER ROOM???
NO CREW DECK???
JUST THIS TINY SPACE AND THAT'S IT, THAT'S ALL I GET FOR SPENDING MONEY AND A LOT OF TIME SAVING FOR THIS SHIP????
Anyone else thinks that this is a bit of a ripoff??
I mean I was expecting more than 1 deck in a ZEN ship.
well i got the 3 pack and bascially regret it. i only use the scicence ship the Khzyon. the wing cannons and consoles are pretty much worthless imho. they are all in my bank.
i don't care that much about the inside of the ship. i do like that everything is right there so i don't spend time running all over the ship.
at first i really hated these ships, but adapted and found a way to make them work. i still don't use them that often.
if i had it to do over again i would just pass on the kumaris.
having said that, i do get 1st place in SB24 when i use the khyzon, most of the time.
now, you see if the devs had just listened to my posts on the tribble bit of the forums asking if they'd make the ZEN ships free to test I wouldn't be angry and got a different ship.

If you're dropping that much coin on a ship only to throw it away based solely on it's interior, methinks you need to re-evaluate your priorities.
I thought that when you spend REAL MONEY on a ship, u'd get the full package... They are just taking the TRIBBLE a little don't you think? And I'm not throwing it away, I'd just like a nice beautiful andorian interior for my ship

Very, very few ships come with any kind of interior at all. That's what the bridge packs are for.
The fact that Taco took the time to recreate the Andorian ship architecture shown on ENT isn't a bad thing in the least.
Too bad my review was probably not out at the time your bought it OP: Kumari Review
I do find the bridge is an excellent replica of the one from the show but I agree that it is a bit funky that there is no "rest of the ship" and even though it is a perfect replica that bridge was never that amazing to begin with.
1. Most ships in the game do not have a unique bridge at all.
2. Of the ones that do, most have a single tiny room. The Tuffli is the biggest and even it is just a few rooms in a row. None of them have a "rest of the ship."
As far as functionality is concerned, the tiny custom bridges are much better than the standard ones. You don't need to run to the other end of the ship to pick up doff assignments. Personally, I much prefer the mini-bridges to the big standard ones (actually I would prefer to be able to get those doff assignments without entering the bridge and going through two loading screens, but that's not possible).
Problem is that Cryptic only has a fully developed ship interior for regular KDF and Starfleet ships. Lockbox ships and some ships of other races like Kumari get a unique bridge, but they aren't going to make a whole new interior for just one ship. Its either that or they would have treated the Kumari like other racial ships like the D'Kyr or Atrox, the just get regular Starfleet bridges and interiors.
I think this is ok, as I don't want them wasting time they could use for more content on unique interiors for every new ship.
I think it's great they made an Andorian bridge at all, cause it could have just been a regular ship interior like the D'Kyr.
There are many people who'd be happy to invite you to their ship to check out the inside (read: bridge only, since the only custom interiors are the Defiant Belfast bundle and the TOS Constitution bundle).
The Kumari interior is one of the few examples in STO that is, unfortunately, too canon. If you watch the ENT episodes featuring the Kumari you'll see they did a pretty good job copying it. Unfortunately though, the canon bridge is kind of boring.
I don't think I would mind so much if you could at least swap out the Kumari bridge with a different one at Spacedock but, alas, this is what we got.
Other than that I am completely satisfied with my purchase.
have to agree, at least they made the effort and the andorian got a special bridge, albeit a boring one, you cant blame the devs. People QQ about the vesta not having a unique bridge... its a fed ship so the stock bridges make sense on it.... the most glaring and immersion breaking oversight is the lack of a unique bridge on the Chel Grett..! For a free ship its amazing and i use it alot, so I can't QQ too much, but it is rather glaring for a "special" ship not to have a unique bridge... all other lock box ships do, which as a one off prize ship, i would consider just as rare as bug ships (unless they do a run of them again) and deserves a unique bridge.
I wish I wouldn't had the Kumari bridge, as I found it ugly, and many textures on it are extremly low res and cheap.
I would have prefered the usual bridges.
The Kumari is a great ship, imo. Well, depends on your class. I suppose if you're a Tac, you'd be better served on a Defiant, Patrol Escort or HEC but for a Sci and Engineer, the Kumari is probably one of the most powerful Escorts available due to it's BOFF layout and 5 fore weapons slots.
The Wing Cannons are decent but really pack a punch with the Phaser Dispersal Array console. You get 10% bonus accuracy with 2 consoles. I admit the Wing Platforms are pretty weak and not worth the console space.
As an Engineer, it's my preferred ship until Cryptic fixes cruisers and/or adds a Fleet version of the higher tier ones.

A random picture on screen! And the same random picture on ready room screen, or window..
Epic fail imho. Worst bridge ever.
then I found the 1 console and went, "THIS IS AWESOME, I don't have to bloody run around my ship for my DoFFs"
I love my andorian
I was debating on buying one of these. Debate is now over. I hate using the turbolift!
