Nah. Leftside player had a bigger paddle. It was completely OP.
Nah, Rightside player complained the game mechanics favoured the leftside player more
Regarding the thorny issue of the rommy cloaks, apart from the feeling the romulans were used as a means to an end to give federation-tilted players cloaking capability that they have pushed for ages to get; I think the cloaks will be an intresting slant on kerrat and arena as both sides will have to hunt for the other or employ bait ship tactics to lure each other out - although I do fear that with the typical fed being...reluctant... to fight unless they know others are nearby, - and the typical bop pilot who will choose not to engage due to learning by the use of defiants to spot ambushes - Kerrat will be rather less chaotic and fun (well, knowing me I'll just do as I always do and attack anything that moves) and above all far more painful for starter feds as they will be even more obvious targets
Beyond this, I'm still not sold on the 'balance' of the rom ships as on paper it sounds a good idea to curtail ship power to justify a cloak - Yet this however neglects the fact most consoles for rep, ect dole out lumps of power - thus once 'repped up', a rom ship will have most of its weaknesses mitigated yet have full hull and shields compared to the massive penalties a kdf ships incur to have a cloak thus I feel maybe the bop might deserve some hull/shield tweaks to keep it viable over a romubop but thats by the by - in terms of both factions having access to romulan ships, there is balance but in terms of balance regarding default kdf ships to romulan ships...I'm not sure...
Honestly, Feds have their way of pewpewing each other, KDF have theirs. Let them play their way, you play yours. If somebody is doing something 'wrong' in your book, giggle and right it off.

Regardless of what anyone says, spawn camping is a choice. And a bad one that hurts fvk pvp. And the impression I get is that people think it's funny.,, Keep it up and have no one to fight.
I can only speak for myself but lately I've been coming in with only one or two other team mates evethough the queue shows 5v5. So I have a choice: either wait and hope the rest of my teams spawns in so we can head in toegether or fly solo into certain death. Which would you choose? I have no problem losing. Every loss is a learning experience. I have no problem with cloaks, battle cloaks, or any other semi cannon/cannon abilities. I think they make the game more interesting and fun. But when they're used to constantly run and hide or delay an otherwise quick match its not fun for anyone.
There has been many matches where KDF is losing and what do they do? Cloak and go sulk in the corner until one of their less butthurt teammates puts himself on the chopping block so we can get on with our lives.
Oh I remember the day's.
Fed players: Stop spawn camping you Klingons!
Klingon players: Then move up to mid field so we don't have to go over there to kill you!
Fed players: Only if you De-Cloak 1st!!
Klingon players: What the hell are you guys smoking
Zarathos, I run KDF at low level (i actually delete toons to level new ones from time to time!), and the current starting ship has...
(wait for it...)
BattleCloak. That's right, it's a Bird of Prey.
You are right, I forgot. It's pretty hard to find Klink at cmdr level in Ker'rat. And I do not remember when the FvK queue popped last time On the other hand most Klinks I ever met at cmdr have never recloaked. Either they died pretty quickly or I exploded even faster
And yes, I know that mines follow cloaked ship (one of the reasons I run with mines on the back insted turrets on my escort). I know how sensor scan work (had a sci once or twice) and how to pack the right deflector and consoles to detect a cloaker and send a HYT his way.
It's not that I find cloak/battle cloak all that hard to counter. It's just pretty not very funny to fight people who don't stay in fight. Ok, that's their tactic, they like it and find it funny. Problem is that game is like sex - you need two to make it work. And both must have fun.
Move away from the spawn point.
Btw, if those klinks ran and hid they are not klingons.
You sound a little angry. So what happens when us evil KDF dont go run and hide?
If you're saying that I'm getting spawncamped because I'm at the spawn point at the beginning of a match, my response is, that I do after its clear I will have no other teammates joining me. And if I have less than a full team oh well I'll try my best to explode nicely.
If you mean that when I'm being camped just leave? Try doing that with 5on1 focus fire plus warp cor,e explosions from the last teammate that spawned next to you. lol
I'm not angry. Just a liitle frustated like a lot of people that post on this forum. I think I come off angrier because i don't end my ******** posts with or .
If the Klinks don't run and hide then it's like any other fvk battle: stomp or get stomped depending on who has the most bugs or wells or if Klingy decides to either run 3 battle carriers or 4 battle carriers.
oh my =/ thas alotta replies! as a fed the klinks don't scare me unless I can't see them, which is the way I like it. as a klink harvesting fear from unsuspecting feds, it's just a wonderful tool to have.
at kerrat I was annoyed at first, but like aged vanilla root beer it grows on ya!

Lyndon Brewer: 20% chance to capture enemy ship for 60 seconds on successful use of boarding party.

They want to sell ships above all else, ships are relatively cheap to make and sell like hotcakes.
What better way to get a better ROI on ships than by making them appear OP on paper, especially when they're paired up with consoles from other ships to mitigate what few "balancing dwnsides" they put in?
Its only my opinion of course, but I think LoR is built around its marketability and their projections on selling new ships and new items. The RR being a Rebel Alliance throwback is not coincidence.
Now we'll just have to wait and see if the nerf bat comes out swinging a few weeks after LoR launches. It'll be interesting to see what happens either way.

Be frustraited with a que system that still starts with uneven numbers.
Be frustrated with those KDF whom do spawnxamp 5 to 1.
Do team and communicate with each other on when the respawn as a group for added defense.
Especially be frustrated with the ones who run and hide due to getting beaten, for they are not klingon at thier hearts and only love battle when it favors them.
Just dont think its all KDF only actions. Many a fed does the same things yet we hardly ever see the KDF fans coming out with a thread about it.
Being a s#%t is not just a KDF thing and the evils of STO does not just rest on our heads.

I remember a couple of years back I Q'ed up for a Space PVP match with my KDF Science Main and Flying my Vo'Quv.
I ended up in a match that had teams of 8 vs. 1 and I was the 1.
Never once did I complain and I had a great time trying to keep the ships that I was trying to take out from running away when I damage them.
In the end I got completely shut out but I will forever see that match has one of my greatest victories.
Win, Lose or Draw in the end it's just a game and fun is where you find it.
