New HUD design/color scheme

What is everyones impression on the new HUD and color schemes?

First off I would like to say that I really liked the idea of a color scheme, changing colors in general seemed like a good idea.

But this also felt limited after I looked through all the colors and didn't find one i liked.

Why not let us customize the colors ourselves, or add a transparent hud?

But then i asked why I didn't like it still (even if those suggestions where implemented), it's because I like the current layout/design.

The new design is boxes, whilst the former had rounded edges and looked futuristic.

These seem to be like someone from 1999 made them on a packard bell.

In an ideal situation, different designs would have been more creative and worthwhile, including color schemes universally for each.

Are these changes to the hud final, will there be an option to keep the current design?

My HUD keeps moving after I adjust it. Not just a little move here and there, I mean items overlapping each other every time I load a new screen. Very annoying.

The colors are ok... but I don't like this new tiny edged lay out...it looks like stickers have been placed on my screen and they kind of stand out...funny... and it might be nice to have a 'mouse over' option for objects. It's kind of tiring to have to run up to a console to see if it's a bank, a mail box, or the exchange...

Thanks for letting me move around the singularity gauge. I found it's initial position to be annoying, although I'm sure lots of people liked it as it was fairly central and not up in front of your ship much.

was separating ctrl+1 from ctrl+numpad1 new? Because I don't remember having ctrl+nums bound to anything in the current version of the live game, but every time I use my mouse ... 5th? button to scan (ctrl+v) while steering my ship with the keypad (stop looking at me like that, I can't stand off-line controls like going from S to W...I keep hitting corners of other keys like E...) then it would annoyingly trigger whatever skill I had in the 2nd row of that number...like... if I was slowing down it would trigger my ctrl+2 while scanning... Because if that's a new thing from this update then, cool, Thanks tons. That was annoying as hell and now I can stop it.

Please stop making my chat minimize to a button without my permission (apparently when I log off and then back on), or help me find an option in the Options to make it stop doing that.
