Why is there a half naked orion on my ship?

sollvaxsollvax Member Posts: 4 Arc User
Some orion woman has appeared in my contact window a couple of times during the "price of neutrality"
she appears to be out of uniform (as in not wearing anything at all but a collar)
Ok I did side with the Kdf but I do not have any non Romulan/Reman officers yet
Can we either get a Romulan contact OR make her put a uniform on?

you could hang a romulan insignia off her collar... maybe put a contact phone number on it and put the date she got all of her shots.

It's just lame; half the women in the game are hyper-sexualised to appeal to the adolescent male fantasy. Yes some Orions wore very little in specific circumstances on the show... but frankly I'd much prefer if the NPCs dressed appropriately.

"Some" Orions? The only half-way decently dressed one I remember was in Abrams-TRIBBLE. Don't get me wrong, I would still kill for being able to put my diplomatic Orion officers into proper Federation uniforms, but that's the way they dressed in canon. An ongoing case of what a buddy of mine refers to as "Seven of Nine Syndrome". Sex sells. Unfortunate but true. I've avoided having any Orion females as part of my KDF Boffs because chainmail bikinis are really silly. And to dress my Fed toons and Boffs in such a provocative manner, I have to spend Real Coin for the privilege. I am not a prude or the fashion police. I just wish I had the ability to opt out of the belly dancer from Hell look.

You can dress orions up in outfits that only their heads are bare. They are free KDF outfits.

I'm more relaxed. My Fed main has two female Orions. The one that goes on away teams wears Omega gear, the one that just stands around on the bridge has a more TOS look. Same for my KDF main. The crew of my Orion syndicate Marauder patrol cruiser wears the Orion uniform options (both females and males) except the captain, she goes for a more armored warrior look to be taken seriously by the Klingons.:D

Well for a start cybernetics leads to becoming Borg (and someone should sue the makers of Doctor who after last nights lame rip off of the borg.)

Plus the bolts are non canon (unless you believe the Enterprise holoprogram) and definately a sign of low tech and low intelligence

The Real orions are SMART , human looking and can with mild surgery pass for Andorian (babel conference)
    they have hair
and they are not the Borg

Borg=/=Cyborg. Picard had a cyborg heart way before getting assimilated.

And I believe Enterprise is the most canon of all Star Trek sources, except JJ Trek. JJ's one is the most canon, since its the newest of the trek media and thus as the newest canon source, it retcons everything before it.

Where does it say that Orions are dumb? Also you have absolutely no idea how much surgery it took to change that assassin. They once changed half the DS9 crew to Klingons, including longer hair. In short, the looks of the Assassin in TOS prove NOTHING.

Retcon is of course a term from torchwood

but in any case canon is oldest = strongest

so TOS beats TNG which beats DS9 Which beats Voy which beats The cartoon which beats enterprise (especially as enterprise is revealed to be a holoprogram written for Nerds) which beats Fan fiction which beats JJ verse

Orions are intelligent ancient civilised and well basically not the borg

people who bolt metal to their skulls are frankly a bit thick
Same as people who cut off a functioning limb and replace it with a power tool

JJ's films are better then Insurrection...

Also, in canon, newest is always the best and most up to date, thus the canon part.

And I dont know what torchwood is, I dont care.

So no. Ent overrides Voy, Voy overrides DS9, Ds9 overrides TNG, and TNG overrides TOS.

That is just how canon works in any fictional universe. Its like a game update. JJ is the newest patch to Star Trek.
