Are phasers bugged? Proc'ing myself instead of the enemy.

Now it may just be my imagination, but I believe when I am firing phasers at a target, instead of it suffering the proc, I suffer the proc. In essence I am shooting myself.

I've had it so far where my weapons have gone offline 3 times firing phasers and I've lost my shields once. I think I also lost aux as well before.

Unless Plasma weapons and Disruptors have suddenly gained a chance to knockout subsystems I swear I am proc'ing myself with my own phasers! Was wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar situation?

Ship I'm using is a K'tinga (tier 3) with the following phasers 2 dual cannons accx3 in front, 1 dual heavy cannon accx3 in front, and a mk vi acc phaser turret in back.

    what ships are you fighting against? elachi are worse than tholians for taking systems offline.

    Romulan's and Borg mostly at moment. Had it also versus Orions. It's very strange, it's not viral matrix or energy drains, it's literally knocking a subsystem offline.

    any boarding parties per chance? borg like to just beam them over... tho if you're spamming tac team they don't get a chance to do anything.

    This is a known bug, they are working on it. for now, use disruptors if you can get them.

    This bug was in the last build as well. All energy weapons are applying their proc to the firing ship. It isn't just phasers.

    hrms ive been using plasma weapons on my romulan, haven't seen any plasma fires proc on myself.

    I have. It's rare though, because like with all procs the chances are small, and if you've just started a romulan than you don't have many weapons firing to cause the proc.

    ehh no my romulan is lvl 42, ive been using plasma weapons on my ship the entire time.

    This is a known issue. It came about when attempting to enhance the functionality of certain weapon-based abilities, so they could inherit your weapon procs.

    We're reverting the change due to these unintended side effects.

    Then you have odd luck, or you're just not noticing it.

    wellz if bort said its related to weapon ability enhancements then that would prolly explain why. ive been using FAW spam, not been using BO at all so *shrugs* maybe FAW isn't effected by this. dunno, haven't looked too deeply at it.

    You tend to get a proc a lot when you get a crit I've noticed. Guess I should switch to dmgx3 weapons and remove all acc traits and specs lol

    lol ok that explains a lot, i have 2x dhc phased tetryon, and a beam array phased polaron i thought the nausicaans were given a subnuke/power drain ability :eek: :D

    Ha, wondered why my assault cruiser was getting yellow plasma fire from fighting Cardassians ;)

    Good to know it's being fixed. I like my Romulan plasma console too much to change.

    If the devs haven't already, they can expand this list to Plasma weapons, unless Elachi Disruptors, Hirogen Tetryon weaons and Cardassian Phasers now have the Caustic Plasma Fire proc from Caustic Plasma Dual Heavy Cannons. >.>
