with adjustments to KDF play and the recent "Ask Cryptic" that clearly states Cryptic can use materials from novels but not video games it may be time to look at one of the most prominent Klingon novel ship: the IKS Gorkon.
She has been mentioned in "The Path to 2409" so she does not seem to be beyond reach oc Cryptic.

The Chancellor (or Qang in Klingon) class was a new design that appeared a bit too late to participate in the Dominion War.
She's basically a somewhat enlarged Vor'cha with the same tacitcal and additional scientific abilities.
After the war when the first 12 of these ships were operational, they were snet into an unexplored sector of space to do all the familiar things.
"To explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations...and conquer them for the glory of the Empire"

One of the first novels the Gorkon appared in ("The Brave and the Bold" Book 2), had schematics that give us a clear picture how much it is based on the Vor'cha and also that it is not just a slight variation.

strangely engough the cover of the first novel in the Gorkon series shows us a ship that looks more like a streamlined Vor'cha even though in the book itself the author states it's based on above schematics.
Anyway since the chematics are the basis anyway I'd use them as a baseline for the ship.

Since it's an enlarged Vor'cha I'd propose a ship with a turnrate of 9.5.
The base version could be a Tier 4 "+1" counterpart to the Vor'kang with a more science-oriented layout.
The Fleet version is a bir tricky since it should not collide with the setup of the Flight Deck Cruisers.
I think it should still feature the Tor'kaht's LtC. Tac but should have a more sciency focus in other areas.
What do you folks think?

I like the idea and Klingon side needs more ships, not just Klingon ships either. I hope once we get to play from level 1 with the launch of the Romulus expansion all the previous lower tier ships seen Fed side become available for the lower level Nausicaan, Orion, and Gorn ships that are NPC ships already ingame.

So kind of like how the regent is an upgrade from the assault cruiser.

As for a more a more science Vor'cha, use the mirror version with the normal skin.

I could adding this skin, but unless this turns into a real KDF a science ship, KDF Vesta equivalent, trading hanger bay for cloak, and being a battle cruiser sci hybrid.

3 front, rear, cloak, subsystem targeting, and sensor analysis, dual cannons, and a turn of 12, and decent hull. That I would buy. Oh and a good shield modifier.

I think it would be great addition to the KDF vessels of the line.
