Singularity Core property [Res] not working?

The [Res] property says adds the following text to the SCore description:
Improved Singularity Shielding: Your Singularity Shielding also provides you with 20 resistance to all damage.
Presumably this is intended to buff Quantum Absorption, as this is currently the only Singularity Core power that does not have a corresponding buff in the selection for sale in the D-Store, and it first becomes available at Mk 4, strongly suggesting that Singularity Shielding was an old name for Quantum Absorption.
However, when testing on Tribble, when using Quantum Absorption with a [Res] SCore, the resistance ratings on the character sheet do not budge; if I am receiving a damage resistance buff, it's not being reported.
