Fleet ship questions

So I saved up and bought the Retrofit Stargazer (Heavy Cruiser) and I love it. After some reading I came to the conclusion that IF my fleet has a Tier 2 shipyard I could get the Fleet version for 1 ship mod vs 4 ship mods.

We now have a Tier 2 Shipyard but the price hasn't cone down. Am I just dumb? Did I come across bad/old info?

if i dont mistake, the discount of FSM only counts for T5 Retrofits, not for lower Tier ships.

You get a bonus only if you already have a T5 c-store ship. If its a T5 regular ship (like a Patrol Escort), no discount. If its a c-store ship, but not T5 (like the T3 Nebula), no discount. Only if its T5 c-store, like the Excelsior Refit or the MVAE, then you get a discount, but only then.

The discount only applies to T5 ships purchased from the C-Store.

Just a little clarification on this for myself. I have the Exploration Cruiser retrofit that I got with my ship token when I hit Vice Admiral. I'm guessing from the comments that this doesn't count and I would need to buy the ship again from the C-store to get the discount on the fleet version?

Correct, last I heard anyway. Ships bought with tokens or Emblems don't count, as the discount was originally for people looking to buy the Fleet ship, but wanting the console from the C-Store version (effectively making the console 500Z).
